Another month down, and the EU exams show no signs of slowing. A new lawyer-linguist competition is open for applications, AD5 translator candidates are deep in testing, and internal competitions are keeping things lively. Over at EU Training, we’ve been busy too: new question types, fresh test prep bundles, and an ongoing update of our EU knowledge database to keep things sharp.
Meanwhile, EPSO is still sitting on a backlog of test results and reserve lists, some dating back to 2023. Lawyer-linguists from EPSO/AD/404/23 are particularly eager to see if their results land by the promised mid-March deadline... so, will this be the month?

Open for applications
On 4 March 2025, EPSO opened applications for a new lawyer-linguist competition. The goal is to create a reserve list for the Commission, Parliament, and Council to recruit from. Administrators in the field of taxation (AD6)
Applications closed on 19 February, now it's time to get serious about preparing. Here are the prep packages as promised, which include practice questions for reasoning skills and the Field-related MCQ, plus a Written Test Simulation. Some packages include an evaluation of your Written Test response:

COM Internal Competitions
In the last quarter of 2024 the European Commission announced four internal competitions for grades AST2, AST-SC2, AD5, and AD6, aiming to fill 350 spots on the reserve list. Applications closed in December, and testing is starting very soon.

European Parliament Internal Competitions
In the first quarter of 2025 the European Parliament annoucned three internal competitions covering five profiles for two grades: AST3 and AD5. Applications closed on 6 March.
