Now that the summer holidays are over it is time to turn our eyes towards the EPSO competitions and exams scheduled for Autumn 2017.
Last Days To Apply For The Translator Competition!
You have till 5 September to apply for the 2017 Translator competition. Don’t leave it to the last moment to validate your application as EPSO’s website is notorious for crashing around the time of the deadline, due to an influx of people trying to get their registrations in before the 12-noon cut-off. This is such a simple mistake to avoid and 100% within your control. Click here to register:

- Dutch-language translators (EPSO/AD/346/17)

EPSO AD5 Competition – Next Steps
EPSO announced this week that the AD5 pre-selection exam results can be expected at the end of September 2017. Once the results are out, successful candidates will only have approximately 2-3 weeks to prepare for the next round, since the E-tray exercise will be sat between 16 October – 20 October.

Upcoming Competitions
While there are no specific dates yet, according to EPSO’s website we can expect the following competitions to be released sometime in Autumn 2017:
- Financial Economics (AD5)
- Health and Food Safety - Audit, Inspection and Evaluation (AD6)
- Macroeconomics (AD7)
- Food Safety - Policy and Legislation (AD6)
- Proofreaders/Language Editors (AST3) - Maltese (MT), Slovenian (SL), Swedish (SV), Dutch (NL), Danish (DA) and Croatian (HR) languages
- Experts In Media and Digital Communication - Communication Specialist (AD6)
- Experts In Media and Digital Communication - Webmaster (AST3)
- Experts In Media and Digital Communication - Communication Assistant (AST3)
- Experts In Media and Digital Communication - Visual Communication Assistant (AST3)
- EPSO has not indicated whether there will be a generalist Assistant or Secretary competition this year, however we are hopeful that they will make an announcement about this in the next few months.
