AD/338/17 - LANGUAGE 1 AND 2

Dear all,

I'm sorry but I'm a bit confused. In the current online application for Ad 5 Generalist Competition, it is asked citizenship and language skills, with the specification that I will chose language 1 and language 2 after.

In the language skills, I did not put my mother tongue (Italian), because it is obvious that I am fluent in Italian. Does it mean that I will not be able to choose Italian as language 1? That is, language 1 and language 2 will be chosen according to the languages declared in the language skills?

Hi there. Just wondering whether there are ways for an AST to become an AD, other than the general open competition.

Strategically selecting 'mother tongue' as 2. language given sufficient knowledge in other language for pre-test?

Does anybody have the answers to the situational judgement questions on the EPSO website (in the practice test section)?  I seem to be doing very well on the practice tests on this website and in other workbooks, but not as well as I would like on the one on the EPSO website.  Unforutunately, they only give you a total score at the end and don't specify the correct answers to each particular question.

 I sat the CBT tests last Thursday. I found the Numerical so easy. The Verbal was not even difficult, despite a couple of quite confusing questions. But then the abstract reasoning came up to kill me. As many other applicants have already said in this forum, those exercises were far more diffcult than those others offered in this website. I felt shaky since the very beginning of the exam, and I ended up answering randomly more than half of the questions. In resume, a complete disaster.

Dear all, recently the number of verbal reasoning questions on AD preselections tests on EU Training has increased from 10 to 20, while abstract reasoning questions dropped from 20 to 10. Is this how the tests will be for this year? Thank you!

Hi,

does anyone understand if for this competition there will be the e-tray intermediate phase? When I read the OJ I understand that after the talent screeer the candidates will be invited directly to the Admission Center, where also the MCQ tests will be performed.

The current CAST call for applications states "Only qualifications issued or recognised as equivalent by EU Member State authorities (e.g. by the Ministry of Education) will be accepted. Furthermore, before recruitment, you will be required to provide the documents that corroborate your eligibility and the information in your application form (diplomas, certificates and other supporting documents)."
