I would like to ask if we will be able to sit for the translation and revision exams only after passing the CTB exams OR if we will sit for both exam sessions regardless of the CTB results? In other words, will we be notified that we have passed/failed the CTB exams and then accordingly be invited (or not) for the translation and revision exam?

Je me demandais si nous avions une estimation de la longueur des textes de référence pour les examens de traduction et révision de L2 vers L1?
Sauf erreur de ma part, nous savons que nous aurons 1h pour la traduction et 30 minutes pour la révision mais quid de la longueur (et/ou nombre de mots) des textes sources en L2 pour chacun de ces tests?

am I the only one to be surprised and in fact enraged by the fact that instead of some meaningful word/pad version of the scratch pad, they come up with the idea that a post-it version of the comment window in a pdf file should be ok as a scratch pad? Like it takes 4-5 clicks before this post-it small window appear, with a lot of selection of random things around in the pdf. I wasted like 20% of precious time on dealing with it.

How can that be in 2025?

Or was there some normal scratch pad and not just a pdf file (right hand side of the screen).

Hi, everyone! I have 2 questions:

1) In my application, in the "Education" tab, I did not add my secondary education qualification, I just added my university degree (the one required for the application). Will this error disqualify me from the competition in your opinion? Can I upload the diploma of the secondary school as a document to compensate the error, even if I have not mentioned it in the application?

I was wondering if anybody has any tips on preparing the Revision, Translation and Language (L3) tests. EU Training provides the Language Comp test. EPSO has one example of the revision test but it is into gaellic so for me, impossible to understand. Also the maguage 3 test seems very simple ("how do you spell mushroom. champitngong, champinon, or champignon). It seems to easy. Are there no materials available anywhere?

I have asked ChatGPT whether the verbal tests on exam simulation mode for AD-6 Financial Economics in EU Training are more or less challenging than the real questions in the exams at EPSO (generally), and the response I got was very discouraging, as according to it the texts are more extense and the distractors are less obvious. This shattered me as I was training with EU Training already for 2 months and I always get between 12 and 14 questions in the verbal right out of 20, which is not a very safe mark if I am going to be facing even more difficult exams.

Last year, I applied for a Contract Agent FG IV position at an EU agency. Last week, I received the results of the interview and was informed that I have been placed on the reserve list.

Earlier today, one of the individuals I listed as a reference contacted me to let me know that they had been asked to provide a reference for me. I have not yet received a job offer. Could this indicate that I might receive one soon?

I validated the application for the AD5 translators competition. However, I have just realized that I made a mistake in the Profile > Education section. Regarding my Bachelor's degree, I selected "DL (ITA Diploma di Laurea)" as Title of qualification, whereas I should have selected "DU (Diploma universitario)". The difference is that, in the Italian system, the DL corresponds to 5 years of study, while the DU to 3 years. Unfortunately, I only just became aware of it.
