As for translation tests, we do not provide this product, but as a very good alternative, the www.europa.eu website publishes all public documents, most of them in 24 official languages. This ranges from press releases, Official Journals, policies, judgements of the Court etc. You select a text in your source language and translate it into the target language. Then, you compare your translation to the document in your target language.

Hi David, please let us know when other languages are available for the language knowledge test (I see there are only three for the moment). In the meantime, for any of the linguistic tests it's a good idea to read press articles from very respected and reliable sources in the relevant languages and train the brain in finding translations or, for the mother tongue, synonyms and alternative expressions. I translate on the go (reading aloud) because I don't have time to write. It depends on the skills you need to practice more. I do not need to practice typing, for instance but train my creativity skills, given that there'll be no dictionary. For revision, there are some clear language guides available online but otherwise it's a matter of knowing very well grammar, syntax, orthography and so on. So check the most respected (and up-to-date) grammar books and common mistakes guides in your mother tongue.
