EPSO has added some new details to its website, concerning the Proof-readers/language editors competition, as well as the Lawyer-Linguists competition.
Proof-readers/Language Editors Competition
EPSO has revealed that the Notice of Competition for this competition will be released on 28 September, 2017. The deadline to submit your application will be 7 November, 2017.
Successful candidates will have the opportunity to work for the European Parliament and be based in Luxembourg.
The main languages being sought are Maltese, Slovenian, Swedish, Dutch, Danish and Croatian.
Lawyer-Linguist Competition Announced
EPSO has recently added this completion to its list of upcoming opportunities.
The Notice of Competition for this competition will be released on 26 October, 2017. The deadline to submit your application will be 28 November, 2017.
Successful candidates will have the opportunity to work for the European Parliament or the Council of the European Union and be based in either Brussels or Luxembourg.
The main languages being sought are Danish, Estonian, Irish, Croatian, Latvian, Slovenian.

While there are no specific dates yet, according to EPSO’s website we can expect the following competitions to be released sometime in Autumn 2017:
- Financial Economics (AD5)
- Health and Food Safety - Audit, Inspection and Evaluation (AD6)
- Macroeconomics (AD7)
- Food Safety - Policy and Legislation (AD6)
- Experts In Media and Digital Communication - Communication Specialist (AD6)
- Experts In Media and Digital Communication - Webmaster (AST3)
- Experts In Media and Digital Communication - Communication Assistant (AST3)
- Experts In Media and Digital Communication - Visual Communication Assistant (AST3)
- EPSO has not indicated whether there will be a generalist Assistant or Secretary competition this year, however we are hopeful that they will make an announcement about this in the next few months.
