TestWe prerequisite test problem – support response and retake chances

My laptop met the technical requirements, but during the prerequisite test it got extremely hot and started to smell weird. In the meantime, I managed to fix the camera and microphone issues on my new laptop, and that one works great with the TestWe app. I had planned to use the new laptop, but unfortunately I couldn’t get everything sorted in time for the prerequisite check and I didn’t expect the old one to perform so badly. I contacted TestWe via the chatbot (as recommended in the guidebook) to ask for permission to retake the prerequisite test.

Does anybody tried EPSO competitions with wireless keyboard/mouse

I was wondering if I show with my webcam that I am using a wireless keyboard/mouse, it would not harm my chances in the competitions.

Laptop/Notebooks numerical keyboards are typically small and they do not help us for speed, in special in numerical reasoning tests. We also lose some milisseconds using the touch pads for the numerical and logical reasoning tests.

There are some numerical keyboards that work together with a main keyboard, and there are obviously more anatomical and faster mouses.

Hi,

Has anyone heard back on this?

epso AD competition reserve list, but FGIV job offer

Dear,

if your name is on an EPSO AD reserve list, and you would get a FGIV job offer (3 years) at the European Commisssion, does this remove your name from the reserve list?

I assume it does, but just wanted to be sure.

Many thanks for the info.

JRC COM/1/2015/GFIV

Hello! Has anyone got tips or feedback on the JRC COM/1/2015/GFIV researcher competency exam? What level of difficulty is it?

Thank you!

EPSO/AD/411/23 - 2

Dear All,

The webpage for the competition EPSO/AD/411/23 - 2 (Policy officers in the area of nuclear energy) indicates "Signature of the reserve list by EPSO’s director: beginning 4/2025".

I noticed that for past AD competitions it took usually 3 weeks to publish the reserve list after its signature. However in the case of EPSO/AD/411/23 - 2, the reserve list has not been published yet. Or have I missed it, or have I missed any more recent information/update on this competition (that would explain the "delay" in publising the reserve list?)?

testwe crashed

As Ryan said in an another topic: the software froze at the start of the text. I called hte help line in France and Belgium 8-10 times. No answer! Eventually I managed to start again not being sure this is allowed

3104 x 1.18 is not 5100

Was anyone else surprised by the first question of today's numerical test?

Like, if the data says that Spain produced 3104 tons of wheat, and the tex says it increased by 18% and that's ten times that of produced in Portugal, how exactly is the result supposed to be anywhere near 5100?

Are the practice tests on EUTraining harder or easier than the real EPSO tests?

Subject says it all...

I'm practising hard for next Wednesday's translator exam resit (thanks a lot for that, EPSO), and I'm wondering if the sample questions on EUTraining are harder, easier, or equal (in general) to the EPSO tests on the TestWe platform.

I had been reasonably sure I had passed those tests the first time around, but I keep failing in the EUTraining questions. In particular the Verbal Reasoning questions often have answers that I disagree with.

What have others' experiences been?

Am I too late to try?

I am a 33 soon to be 34 year old from Italy, with a MSc in Geography and Geospatial Science. Unfortunately, I don´t have a lot of work experience for my age as I spent years chasing the goal of working for the UN. After managing to only land a one six months contract, and seeing the writing on the wall in the form of widespread massive global cuts across the entire sector, I came to terms with the fact that the goal will most likely never happen. After stints in the private sector, I currently work in academia in Belgium. However, I´m not really interested in academia as a career.
