What will this year’s AD5 Generalists selection process look like?

  • TWO PART registration process:
    • The first round will ask you to list all the languages that you know. Then, EPSO will count the results to determine the 5 languages that the competition’s E-tray Exercise and Assessment Centre will be undertaken in. (To be completed in any 1 of the 24 official EU languages)
    • The second round will then ask you to select a Language 1 and Language 2 to undertake the various stages of the competition. This is also when the full registration process will need to be completed. (Language 2)
  • Pre-Selection Phase: will consist of four computer-based tests – Verbal Reasoning Test, Numerical Reasoning Test, Abstract Reasoning Test and Situational Judgement Test. (Language 1)
  • Intermediate Test Round: will consist of an E-tray Exercise. (Language 2)
  • Assessment Centre: will take place in Brussels and comprise of a Case Study, Group Exercise, Structured Interview and Oral Presentation. (Language 2)

How to get ready for this competition

At this stage you should focus on which languages you will undertake the competition in and the Pre-Selection tests of the competition.

The tests are not hard. Anyone can get all the answers correct if given enough time. It’s the strict time limits that make it difficult and challenging. Consistent and regular practice over an extended period of time is the key to training your brain to react quickly and effectively to these types of tasks. That’s what EU Training has EPSO Administrator pre-selection practice test available in 16 official EU Languages!
