The new year presents new challenges...especially if you have an EPSO Assessment Centre coming up.
Your competition's Notice of Competition clearly states which EPSO competencies will be assessed, the exercises that you will need to undertake, and the key duties that you will be expected to fulfill if you are employed in this role. Study this document thoroughly!
Then take a look at the training possibilities on offer at EU Training to help you prepare for your EPSO Assessment Centre exams:
- Case Study
- Written Test (in the field)
- Competency-Based Interview (CBI)
- Role Play
- Oral Presentation
- Field-Related Interview
- Situational Competency-Based Interview (SCBI)
Does your Assessment Centre include a Competency-Based Interview?
Participate in a virtual CBI simulation session to answer 'likely' interview questions and get feedback from an EPSO expert. Doing this now will allow you time to perfect your answers and gain suggestions on where/how you could improve further.
However, before you undertake a CBI training session make sure you clearly understand this exam's methodology - view our EPSO Competency-Based Interview Insights webinar. Also, we recommend that you watch this free webinar: "Understanding EPSO Competencies and Values".
UPCOMING SESSIONS: 6 JAN (FULL), 11 JAN (FULL), 14 JAN (FULL), 18 JAN (FULL), 21 JAN (FULL), 25 JAN, & 28 JAN
Alternatively, you can book a one-on-one Assessment Centre Personal Coaching session.
Does your Assessment Centre include a Role Play exercise?
While we wait for EPSO to release the actual role play assignment packs for each competitions' Assessment Centre, EU Training has organised generic virtual Role Play simulation sessions. What does this mean?...
These sessions are tailored to ALL candidates that will need to undertake a Role Play as part of their EPSO Assessment Centre. Our aim is to help candidates become familiar with the Role Play exercise and its requirements regardless of which type of EPSO competition they are undertaking: AST-SC or AD level. The simulation exercises used at these sessions have been created by EU Training - therefore the trainer will NOT analyse assignment packs released by EPSO.
Role Play sessions specifically tailored to your unique EPSO competition WILL be organised once EPSO releases the Role Play assignment pack for your competition. However, please note that EPSO generally only releases such assignment packs very close to the actual exam date which limits candidates' preparation time and the number of training sessions that can be run before exam day.
These "generic" sessions allow you to start familiarising yourself with this exam exercise now rather than waiting until EPSO releases the assignment pack - which may not give you enough time to prepare properly.
However, before you undertake a Role Play training session we recommend that you watch this free webinar: "Understanding EPSO Competencies and Values".
UPCOMING SESSIONS: 13 JAN (FULL), 14 JAN (FULL), 20 JAN (FULL), 21 JAN, 27 JAN, 28 JAN (FULL)
If you would like to be notified when Role Play sessions tailored to your specific competition do become available, please ask to be added to our Training Contacts List (provide the EPSO competition you are undertaking and which Assessment Centre exercise you would like to train for). Please note that being added to this list does not automatically guarantee you a spot at a training session.
Does your Assessment Centre include an Oral Presentation exercise?
While we wait for EPSO to release the actual oral presentation assignment packs for each competitions' Assessment Centre, EU Training has organised generic virtual Oral Presentation simulation sessions. What does this mean?...
These sessions are tailored to ALL candidates that will need to undertake an Oral Presentation as part of their EPSO Assessment Centre. Our aim is to help candidates become familiar with the Oral Presentation exercise and its requirements regardless of which type of EPSO competition they are undertaking: AST-SC or AD level. The simulation exercise used at these sessions have been created by EU Training - therefore the trainer will NOT analyse assignment packs released by EPSO.
Oral Presentation sessions specifically tailored to your unique EPSO competition WILL be organised once EPSO releases the Oral Presentation assignment pack for your competition.
However, before you undertake an Oral Presentation training session we recommend that you watch this free webinar: "Understanding EPSO Competencies and Values".
UPCOMING SESSIONS: 18 JAN (FULL), 20 JAN, 21 JAN (9AM), 25 JAN (9AM), 25 JAN (FULL), 27 JAN
If you would like to be notified when Oral Presentation sessions tailored to your specific competition do become available, please ask to be added to our Training Contacts List (provide the EPSO competition you are undertaking and which Assessment Centre exercise you would like to train for). Please note that being added to this list does not automatically guarantee you a spot at a training session.
Does your Assessment Centre include a Field-Related Interview exercise?
Once the exam period of a specialist competition's Assessment Centre is announced, EU Training organises virtual Field-Related Interview simulation sessions tailored to each unique EPSO competition. This allows candidates participating in the same competition to come together to answer 'likely' interview questions, discuss responses and share feedback/suggestions through the guidance of an EPSO expert.
If you would like to be notified when Field-Related Interview sessions tailored to your specific competition do become available, please ask to be added to our Training Contacts List (provide the EPSO competition you are undertaking and which Assessment Centre exercise you would like to train for). Please note that being added to this list does not automatically guarantee you a spot at a training session.
This is also an excellent time to review your Talent Screener. Study the answers/examples that you have provided - you will be asked about these at the Field-Related Interview!
Does your Assessment Centre include a Written Test (in the field) exercise?
Once EPSO releases the Written Test assignment pack from each EPSO competition, EU Training organises an EPSO Written Test Insights webinar tailored to each unique competition.
During these live sessions, our trainers will guide you through the preparation process of this Assessment Center exam component and assist candidates in their analysis and interpretation of the assignment pack's contents.
If you would like to know when the Written Test Insights webinar tailored to your specific competition will take place, please ask to be added to our Training Contacts List (provide the EPSO competition you are undertaking and which Assessment Centre exercise you would like to train for). Participant numbers are not limited at these webinar sessions.
Does your Assessment Centre include a Situational Competency-Based Interview (SCBI)?
Our Virtual EPSO SCBI Workshops primarily focus on providing guidance and advice on how to get ready for the SCBI component of your upcoming EPSO Assessment Centre.
For each EPSO competition, a unique SCBI assignment pack is released by EPSO, therefore these workshops are organised and tailored to specific competitions. During this workshop your trainer will work through this pack with you to extrapolate vital details to tackle and prepare for this interview effectively.
If you would like to be notified when Situational Competency-Based Interview sessions tailored to your specific competition do become available, please ask to be added to our Training Contacts List (provide the EPSO competition you are undertaking and which Assessment Centre exercise you would like to train for). Please note that being added to this list does not automatically guarantee you a spot at a training session.
In the meantime, we recommend that you watch this free webinar: "Understanding EPSO Competencies and Values" and have a read of this tips & tricks article: EPSO's New Situational Competency-Based Interview (SCBI) - What To Expect...
Does your Assessment Centre include a Case Study exercise?
Start by watching our EPSO Case Study Exam Insights webinar, which gives a detailed overview of the Case Study component of the EPSO Assessment Centre and explores the methodologies to get the highest scores, offers practical advice on how to structure your time, and manage difficulties.
Then try a simulation to get a feel for what this computer-based test is like. You can also have your completed simulations evaluated by an assessor if you like (evaluations also come with sample solutions).
