Hi Jan,
Hi Jan,
I think at this point you've already taken the exam.
I will have my test very soon. Do you have any suggestions? I have no idea what to expect.
Thank you so much
Marinella
Hi Marinella,
Hi Marinella,
Yes I took the test and passed it easily.
It's a general knowledge test about all kinds of topics. These are things that a well developed person should have read about or lerned in school or University.
Questions I had included about how many countries were in the Eurozone in a certain year, what is the main task of the ECB, But also where the word democracy originates from, question about putting time periods from middel ages and renaissance and others the correct order and about the US system of government.
Best, Jan
Hi Jan and Marinella,
Hi Jan and Marinella,
I have my interview and written exercise for FGIV next week. Would you be happy to share your experiences? I don't know what to expect from these exercises in terms of difficulty and type of questions... Cheers!
Hi Marinella and Jan,
Hi Marinella and Jan,
Aside from the multiple choice questions in English, can you confirm if the interview and written exercise is also in English or if there is a choice of selecting another language?
Regards,
Joe
Hi all,
Hi all,
Does anyone have any further information on the COM/1/2015 test?
All I have ever found is what @Jan77 posted above.
Any help is most welcomed!
Hi Fedezx,
Hi Fedezx,
Have you done the test last year? I will do it in two weeks and am not sure how to prepare.
How was yours? Did you get the job? I would appreciate any advice.
Thanks a lot!
Vero
Hi Vero,
Hi Vero,
Have you passed the test?
I cannot find much information about it and have no idea how to prepare.
First, I cannot understand, if it can be taken remotely or if I have to travel to the test center.
Also, I would like to know what it includes, test duration, etc.
I would appreciate any information/advice.
Many thanks!
GO
Hi Vero!
Hi Vero!
Have you already passed the test?
What did it include? Can one take it remotely or have to travel to the test center?
I would appreciate any advice/information.
Thank you!
GO
Hello GO,
Hello GO,
Yes, I took the test in February and passed with 28 out of 30 points.
Your HR recruitement officer should explain to you where to take it. I had to take it in person, and did it in Brussels. Depending on the unit and where you are based, you could probably also take it at another location. I think it was about one hour, but I finsihed earlier. It is a multiple choice test testing your knowledge in the selected field. Which unit is the job in?
Good luck.
Vero
Hello Vero,
Hello Vero,
Thank you!
The job is in the Unit B7 (Innovation Policies and Economic Impact).
Thanks!
Hello all, I have my
Hello all, I have my competency test for FG IV in two weeks and I don´t know what to expect from it. I´ve been told by HR that there´s no real way to prepare for it. Any further advice or example questions would be great. My topic is agriculture, environmental and earth sciences.
Thank you!
Hi csgarcia,
Hi csgarcia,
How did your test go? I'm also taking a test in the agriculture field, and I’m not sure what to expect regarding the questions. Do you have any tips? Were the questions related to the activities required for the position, or were they more general? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! thank you! Regards!
Hi mm_2024,
Hi mm_2024,
The test went well. As stated in the previous questions, it's a general knowedge test in the chosen field with no real way to prepare for it. 1 hour is plenty of time to go through all the questions so I wouldn't worry too much about it. About half of the questions I was sure about, and the other half I could make an informed decision. In the end I passed with 29/30. Good luck with yours!
Hi CS,
Hi CS,
I can only repeat what I wrote above to GO: I think it was about one hour, but I finished earlier. It is a multiple-choice test testing your knowledge in the selected field. There is indeed no real way to prepare for it, but you will have plenty of time and if this is the field of your research you will be fine!
Good luck!
Vero
PS @GO - did you pass your test?
Thanks Vero. Did you have
Thanks Vero. Did you have your interview with JRC? I have mine next week followed by a written assignment where I need to answer one question about the job requirements. I don't know know what to expect from either of these exercises, would you be happy to share your experience and any recommendations? Cheers!
