The top 5 languages and open date for part 2 of the application process have been announced!
Starting from tomorrow, 2019 EPSO Graduate Administrators AD5 (EPSO/AD/373/19) candidates can take the next step in this competition!
Applications to complete PART 2 of the application process open tomorrow - 4 July.
If PART 1 of your application was successful, you should now see an invitation to complete PART 2 in your EPSO account.
You have just over 2 weeks to complete this, as applications close 23 July, 2019 at 12:00 noon (CET).
How to choose your Language 1 and 2
Which languages you pick for this competition could have a major impact on your performance in the exams - so you want to get this right.
It is important to consider a number of key factors before making your final decision.
To help you, we've put together a handy article that discusses 5 Key Considerations When Picking Your EPSO ‘Language 1’ and ‘Language 2’.
What you need to know…
- Language 1 – can be any of the 24 official EU languages, BUT your proficiency in this language must be at a C1 level or higher.
- Language 2 – you must pick from the 5 most popular languages declared by EPSO participants this year: English (98.02%), French (51.37%), Italian (29.69%), Spanish (29.66%), and German (18.36%).
- The language that you choose from the top five as your Language 2, MUST be different from your chosen Language 1.
- The booking period for the computer-based pre-selection tests will be open from 27 August - 3 September 2019.
- Pre-Selection exams (covering Verbal Reasoning, Numerical Reasoning, Abstract Reasoning, and the Situational Judgment Test) are scheduled to take place between 4 September - 8 October 2019.
Compared to the 2017 and 2018 AD5 competitions, the top 5 language rankings and their percentages have not varied much:
- 2018 - English (97.86%), French (51.30%), Spanish (27.98%), Italian (26.73%), and German (19.33%).
- 2017 - English (97.31%), French (52.07%), Spanish (27.29%), Italian (26.83%), and German (18.69%).
