Dear Sir/Madam,

 

I would like to enquire as to whether I can find a sample I can work on for the following :

Field-specific competency Proofreading and correcting a text in Language 1. The first part of the test will be done with comparison to the source text in Language 2, the second part of the test will be done without comparison to the source text in Language 2. Proofreading will cover both the linguistic aspects (grammar, spelling and punctuation) and typography. Candidates must give reasons for the corrections made (2h30).

Hello, I applied for the position of linguistic assistant and I wanted to check the preparation this website offers for the assessment centre which is the next stage. 

When I go to the linguist category in products, I don't see anything about the assessment centre. 

Am I supposed to prepare on the exercices, e-tray and case study, indicated for the assistants?

Abstract tests level of difficulty

Are the abstract questions available on eulearning as difficult as the ones for AD5 now? Before they were too easy and now I find them too complicated and I need twice the time to be able to do the test. Is the level of difficulty on Eu training representing the level of difficulty on the exam?

Is it just my impresssion or the abstract exams here are becoming increasingly more complicated by the day...?? I just struggle to obtain 8 out of 10 while a year ago I was just over 8. Anybody else share my impression...??

I would like to know if the questions that are used for practicing the CAST Political Affairs competency test are just to give an idea of the type of questions we might face, or if they are actually questions randomly selected among the total number of possible questions?

Hi all,

After thinking a lot about changing my career I found out about these ad5 competitions and I was wondering if they are really worh the effort. I have been reading a lot of experiences, some people said they are somewhat easy and some others say they are impossible to pass and even if you do so you are obviously not guaranteed a place.

So is it really worth it to go for it? I´d appreciate any response you can give me, any experience you are having with these

Hello,

I just started preparing the exams and I would like to know more about how scores are calculated: Do wrong answers count negatively? Or they just count as unanswered? In other words, is it preferable to answer even if we are not sure or leave them blank? Also, are we given paper and pencil (on top of the calculator) in the numerical test?
