EPSO COMPETITIONS

I recently passed the reasoning and the competency tests for the CAST project management competition (to my surprise!).

I was wondering if there is an indication about when we might hear back from the recruiting services. I would really appreciate it to hear your experience.

Just wondering if anybody would like to share their experience of structured competency interview, especially with regard to the timing.

The Ultimate EU Test Book mentions that if you have 5 competencies tested, you may expect 25 questions in 50 minutes. Theoretically it's 2 minutes per question, but let's face it, by the time you deduct the time for introduction, asking a question, or even 5 seconds between questions, you will end up having max 1min30 seconds per question which is rather short and definitely a challenge to carry your point across.

Hi, While this webstie is very useful, I find it somehow full of information. I would only nee dto know: is there a way to prepare for CAST in faster way than 10 weeks?; how can I choose the language for the test as well as prep. ?; Tips to better understand the logic of Verbal, numerical and Abstract reasoning. I used to have a book that explained those very clearly (cannot find it anylonger), and I find this website lacking of it. Perhaps I have missed out something? thanks

I have been invited for a selection procedure at the JRC in Ispra as an Auxiliary contract agent Function Group IV. 

Could anyone please help me with an estimation of the net salary? I know the basics but cannot find details on how much community tax I would be required to pay (with partner, 1 child).

Also, does anybody have any information about the nature of the selection procedure and tips on how best to prepare?

Dear all,

I'm participating now in AD5 generalist competition. 

I noticed that for other compeitions after assessment centre there is one date for publishing final results (around 2 months after AC) and then another date for publication of reserve list in the OJ (a month after final results).

When do you get the information that you passed the competition? Do you already know it after receiving final results or do you have to wait for the official reserve list?

Hi there, I've been invited for a written test with the ECA. It's for an AD5 position. I don't have much info on the test except it could be between 30mins and 2 hours long. Because it's with the ECA, I'm assuming that it could be an Audit Case Study, however this is far from certain. I was wondering if anyone here who had expereince with this "written test" of the ECA could shed some light on this? My main questions are:

Does somebody know when we can expect the final results of the competition?

Last thursday I did receive my computer-based multiple choice test's results. I have 35/40, but I'm not sure if my degree (Business Administration) will be considered OK in the next phase, Talent Screener. I have a lot of experience in Archivistics, but I don't know how my degree could be considered. Do you have some information about this topic? Thanks a lot!
