Will there be the EU Knowledge exam in the upcoming EPSO Competitions and if so would there be a book or some books that you would recommend to prepare it?

It depends on the competition. Specialist competitions will not have EU Knowledge tests, whereas Generalist ones will. EPSO promised to publish a list of resources to prepare for this test, but until then, you can already find our recommended sources here:
