Release Dates for New EPSO Competitions

Indicative dates for release of New EPSO competitions in 2023. See what is happening in EPSO exams this year and start preparing for your EU career.

Curiously, the Upcoming Competitions section on EPSO’s website disappeared last week. This is because the new EPSO competition release dates have been pushed back and will be happening later than originally planned. (UPDATE: EPSO has now published the official release dates for the first three new competitions of 2023, see the table below.)

This delay is due to the complete overhaul of the EPSO selection process and partly due to the cancellation of the EPSO/AST/154/22 (AST3) competition. 

Do not despair, however, dear EPSO candidates. EU Training has it on good authority what the updated 2023 release dates for upcoming EPSO competitions are, including the much anticipated AD5 Generalists competition. Your EU careers and EU jobs are waiting for you just around the corner, with just a tiny bit more of a wait than originally expected.

Important to note: many ‘specialist’ competitions will have multiple sub-profiles, and you will most probably only be allowed to apply for one of them (we will know for sure when the Notice of Competition comes out, though). Your decision as to which sub-profile to choose  will need to factor in the required professional background, your relevant work experience, and your estimation of your chances to succeed (based on your assumptions of how many candidates may apply for a given sub-profile).
