All EPSO competitions require candidates to speak, read and write in at least two official EU Languages. These are referred to as Language 1 and Language 2.
The Language 2 choice will be more targeted because EPSO will specify a very narrow selection of languages from which candidates can choose - most often it is only English, French and very occasionally German.
