The Field-related Interview (FRI) is one of the tests in the Assessment Centre where the assessors score your knowledge in the field, mainly on your past experience. You can expect roughly the same questions as the ones that were asked in the talent screener.
The whole idea of the interview in the field is to “debunk the junk”. Assessors want to get a real view of the candidate’s experience and skills by asking more detailed questions and clarifying areas of obscurity.
The EPSO assessors will have seen the candidate's Talent Screener before the interview. This is yet another difference between the other “structured” interview, the competency-based interview (CBI), where the interviewers know nothing about the candidate when starting the interview.
There is a scoring grid for the FRI, similar to the Talent Screener. This grid may be different, but as it is meant to be a tool for the assessors only, this does not really matter for the candidates, nor will it be revealed to the candidates.
This interview is currently being held online.
