EU Training’s webinars cover EPSO exam methodology, EU careers and EU job recruitment, and many of them are free. It is a great way to enhance your existing knowledge of the EPSO selection process and required tests, as well as the EU institutions' recruitment processes.

Although I added the free 'Beginner's Webinar' to my account, I cannot access it. How do I access these webinars?

To access webinars, or any products, free or purchased, click on the little orange tree in the top left-hand corner of the EU Training website, this will take you to your Dashboard.

On the left side, you will see the different categories of products. Please scroll to the bottom of that to the MY WEBINARS block. Click on 'play' to watch the webinar.

What is the difference between a live webinar and a webinar recording?

Live webinars are an interactive live sessions with lots of examples, practical tips to help enhance your EPSO exam performance and Q&A blocks to ask all your pressing questions. Simply signing up for a live event, log on to take part and get access to the presentation’s recording afterwards so you can consult it at any point during your preparation. Don’t see an upcoming live event? Easy! Just purchase a webinar recording of an earlier event to gain immediate access to all the vital information presented during a previous live session. Naturally, the only difference being, you won’t be able to ask your own questions or participate in any interactive polls.

Live info webcasts are always held shortly after a new EPSO or internal competition is released and are always free, just click on 'Get' next to the listing. These webcasts help guide you through the Notice of Competition and help you understand the EPSO selection process, the various tests and how to best prepare for your EPSO exams. Recordings of the live webcasts will be made available directly through your EU Training account, but are also available here in the EU Training Webcast Library, free for everyone.

What is the difference between an Online Classroom Training and a LIVE Webcast?

The major difference between a Classroom Training session and our Webcasts lies in their objectives.

The aim of the Classroom Training session is to improve your personal performance
- These are small group sessions focused on individual and group feedback
- They are collaborative, workshop style
- Often it is called a simulation because the trainer will ask each participant EPSO-style interview questions
- For many of these, the trainer will record the participant's response which is a useful tool to prepare for EPSO exams
Webcasts are less personal given their nature.
- It is usually a very large group of people (we've had over 500 people at once)
- If you participate in a live webcast, you can ask questions from the presenter directly through the chat box
- Webinars and webcasts are recorded so you can watch them as many times as you wish. (difference between webinars and webcasts here)

For both the classroom training session and the webinars you receive background materials and a lots of good advice about EPSO exams.

As you can see both preparation tools are extremely useful, however, the way they achieve their objectives are different.

What is the difference between a Webinar and a Webcast?

To start with, here are the definitions of each word.

the word webinar is the abbreviation of web seminar.
the word webcast means a video broadcast of an event shown on the web.
these both can be live or recorded.

Here is the difference between a webinar and a webcast on EU Training

An EU Training webinar is usually a 'for purchase' product*
- It is usually broadcast live then can be purchased as a recording.
- These are usually methodology webinars, covering different aspects of the EPSO and other EU exams
- For both live and recorded webinars, you can view them directly from your EUT Dashboard in the 'My Webinars' section
- *There are some free webinars too, like the 'Beginner's' reasoning skills webinars
an EU Training webcast is a 'free' product
- These are broadcast live, then made available for anyone to view for free on our Webcasts page.
- Info webcasts are generally held when a neww Notice of Competition is released for an EPSO, internal or other open EU career competition.
- Live webcasts are first accessible via the Webinar product page and you can register for free by clicking 'Get'.
- Live webcasts can be viewed directly from your EUT Dashboard in the 'My Webinars' section
- Recorded webcasts can be accessed directly in your account if you registered for the event or on the webcast page.
For both Webinars and Webcasts you need to have an eutraining.eu account to purchase or register for a webinar.

A webinar or webcast is considered LIVE when the presenter is presenting methods and information in a live broadcast that you can immediately see and hear on your chosen device. We generally recommend joining with a laptop or PC so you can see the presentation slides properly. It may be difficult to see them on a small phone screen.

The LIVE webinars and webcasts are also interactive. Participants can ask questions, participate in polls and comment through the chat box.

Is a live webcast or webinar really useful?

Participating in a LIVE online webcast or webinar is certainly a more engaging and interactive experience than watching a recorded video.

During webcasts/webinars:

You can ask questions that are relevant to the topic during the session through the chat box.
There are presentation slides that help you engage and understand the content even better.
Sometimes there are even interactive polls or test simulations.

You can register for webinars and webcasts even if you know you won't be able to attend the live event, because you will be guaranteed to get the recording directly in your EU Training account. You can find your webinar recordings on your Dashboard, in the MY WEBINARS section, whereas webcasts are uploaded to our FREE RESOURCES page.

What should I do if I cannot hear the presenter or see the presenation slides?

If you have audio issues or you cannot see the content the presenter is sharing during an online training session or live webinar, always try the following first:

1. Check that your speakers are turned on and your headphones are properly connected.

2. Check that the sound on your device is not set to 'mute'. You can check this by going to YouTube and playing a video to see if there is sound.

3. Make sure all your audio out levels are set high.

4. If, during the webinar, you stop hearing audio or the content does not change on screen for a prolonged period of time

Log out and log back in
Try a different browser

5. If you are not able to log back in or lose access to the live webinar or training session completely:

Write to Customer Support immediately - our agents are always on hand monitoring live events
If you end up missing the wthe session due to technical issues - no worries - with a few exceptions, you will be able to access the full recording on your Dashboard, where you accessed the live event.
There are some webcasts and training sessions that are not recorded.

If I can't join a live webcast or webinar on time, can I join later?

Yes, you can join any time!

With regard to our free EPSO info webcasts, or any live webinar products for purchase, you can join in or leave at any time. And if you can't attend the live event on the day, it's worth registering anyways because you will get access to the recording and all additional documents.
