What's coming up in November 2024 | EPSO Rundown

EU Training

EPSO competitions news for November 2024.

As the days grow shorter, EPSO's list of competitions grows longer... or so we hope. With four ongoing competitions, one just opened for applications and one upcoming, it would be great to hear news about new competitions.

EPSO has, however, published an overview of possible accommodations candidates can request during selection tests. Candidates can declare any specific needs related to disabilities or medical conditions for reasonable accommodations. View full details here: Overview of possible reasonable accommodations in EPSO selection tests

NUCLEAR ENERGY EPSO/AD/411/23

Test date: 13 November 2024

Exam day is here! Here is a suggestion on how to spend the last day before the exam:

November 12 - the day before the exam

  • 15-30 minutes each of CBT and field-related MCQ / practice or review
  • 15-30 minutes reviewing EPSO’s written test document, and any notes or analysis
    • Try to do these first thing in the morning, but as early as possible, so that in the evening you can just relax
  • Relaxation - whatever it is - yoga, hot bath, breathing exercises - do something to clear your mind and fully relax
  • Eat healthy and drink plenty of water
  • Avoid watching TV/movies and switch your phone to ‘Do not disturb’ early in the evening
  • Get to bed as early as you can

Another tip from András Baneth's prep tips article is:

Visualise the exams (and success)

Athletes often use visualisation to enhance performance, and the same technique can apply to exam preparation. Spend 5-10 minutes each day visualising yourself succeeding at the exam:

  • Imagine yourself confidently answering questions.
  • Picture yourself staying calm and finishing each section within the time limit.
