Dear EU Training, while practicing the numerical tests,I have noted that the calculator is displayed on the screen. I understant that this will also occur during the real EPSO exams, however, during these, will we have the chance to use a paper and a pen as well? There are several numbers that need to be written down in order to continue the calculations for the end result, so if we cannt use paper and pen, how are we supposed to remember all numbers and then use these for the final calculation? Thank you!

I would have the same

I would have the same question, thanks!

Hello,

Unfortunately, no physical tools are allowed at the exam, only the on-screen calculator and scratchpad.

Best,
David

Hi Anastasia,

In the real exam, an on-screen notepad will appear to take notes. EU Training has not implemented this feature yet, but you can simulate it with any simple text editor program.

Hello, your on screen calculator does not work properly. There is no way to clear the screen with the numerical keyboard (if so, how??). In the one I have I use esc key to clear it (I have a MacBook and I bouth a Bluetooth numerical keyboard only for this test)

Thanks for the clarification

Dear EU Training,

is it possible to use the on-screen caclulator with the physical keypad on the keyboard or do the numbers have to be pressed using the mouse?

Many thanks!

Dear EU Training, If you want

Dear EU Training, If you want to use both the scratch pad and calculator during the real numerical reasoning test, do both tools remain on the screen? In practice, my sticky note disappears every time I use the EU training calculator, making it very hard to remember the right numbers to use. Thanks for any info in this respect.

Hi Charlotte, yes, you can

Hi Charlotte, yes, you can keep all 3 present on the screen, but you can also minimize the calculator and the scratchpad.

Hello, my two cents. You

Hello, my two cents. You should improve your training software. It is very difficult to work like this, honestly. We cannot keep the notepad on screen and the calculator does not work as expected with the keyboard. Very annoying.

Hello, are you sure that

Hello, are you sure that there is a scratch pad available in the EPSO numerical reasoning test? In the example on the EPSO website there is no ( or at least i can't find it)

Thanks in advance!

The scratchpad is very inconvenient both to use and to properly size while you are taking the exam, it makes you waste a lot of time. The possibility of using pen and paper would be very useful, but unfortunately it is not allowed. I hope they change the rules because passing math tests with that screen calculator + scratchpad is extremely difficult

Hello!
Could you kindly, confirm whether the calculator in the competition will be the same used in your platform without any Memory buttons, ie the one that is shown below? Thank you!

Hi there,

Can you confirm, as it's been a while since this was mentioned in this forum, that it is possible to use the NumPad with the on-screen calculator and that one would not need to click on every calculator button with the mouse?

Many thanks!
M

I confirm.
