To prepare for the upcoming AD5 generalist selection, is The Ultimate EU Test Book Administrators 2024 worth buying if I already own the 2023 version of the book?

The 2024 edition is completely different from the 2023 because all abstract, verbal and numerical reasoning questions are brand new, and there is a general update.
On a related note, there will not be a 2025 edition.
Also, we are releasing The Ultimate EU Handbook in two weeks (eu-handbook.com), which is the perfect source for EU knowledge.
