Good afternoon all,
Last year, I applied for a Contract Agent FG IV position at an EU agency. Last week, I received the results of the interview and was informed that I have been placed on the reserve list.
Earlier today, one of the individuals I listed as a reference contacted me to let me know that they had been asked to provide a reference for me. I have not yet received a job offer. Could this indicate that I might receive one soon?
Any insite will me much appreciated.
Warm regards,
Ana
Hi, it sounds like good news,
Hi, it sounds like good news, but 'soon' is an adverb that doesn´t have the same meaning in the EU world and in the real world. Whenever I have been in a recruitment process as a contract or temporary agent, it has taken a minimum of two months for the whole recruitment process. If you´re eager to know because you´re in another job and you need to give notice, don´t worry, once you´re offered the job they´ll give you ample time anyway: you´ll be asked to do the medical tests, to provide criminal records, financial forms, conflict of interest forms, etc. I wish you good luck!
