Numerical Reasoning MCQ - AD

I find NR far more difficult than on EU training, so it seems there is no quite a use of practising it here. Maybe anyone has suggestions as to where to practise it from (harder level) ?

Hi ! Have you ever

Hi ! Have you ever participated to an Epso exam? If yes then u find this Ad 2017 numerical test harder than previous exams?

Hi :)

Hi :)

On the topic of numerical reasoning tests, I just did mine today, for the AD competition and thought it wasn't easy. Some of the questions were fairly direct and I only had to do two calculations, but others weren't. For those of you who've also sat the tests already, was there a question in your tests where you were given a ratio between men and women of 1/1.25 (or 1/1.12, I don't remember the exact number) and a percentage of 30 something percent? That question just had me stumped. I just couldn't find the number of population to start from, in the table given in the question. I'm still thinking about it.

I found numerical slightly

I found numerical slightly harder (it required truly 'reasoning') but I was relaxed because only 5 points are needed (results from numerical tests don't count in the overall mark). I suggest marking the difficult questions and going for easy ones first, to then return to marked items. As for further training, I don't know. I used books like 'How to pass the numerical reasoning MCQ' to find a variety of questions, but if you're good at maths, you may find this book is for beginners.

Malfas, you can write to EPSO about that question (I think you have 7-10 days to claim.) Maybe there was a mistake and the question gets discarded.

The difficulty of the abstract test, though, even if expected, truly baffled me. It was a blow in the face. They have to get rid of 20000 candidates and hell they will!

Bon courage!

Hi :) I agree that the

Hi :) I agree that the abstract reasoning test was the most difficult. I made a lucky guess for many of the questions.

Ahh thank you for telling me about the numerical reasoning test score. The last time I did these tests, the NR counted for the final result and instead of reading the notice, I assumed it still counted now. Well, now I know.

It was most probably me that missed something but the question started with "30 something percent of the population not mentioned in this table" (or something similar) and I just couldn't see how I could determine the number of people that was not mentioned in the table.

Thank you and good luck to you :)

I don't think the NR for AD

I don't think the NR for AD is particularly more difficult than EPSO training, but I admit that I had too spend more time on each question. Usually I can finish all questions within 7,8 minutes, but this time hardly eanough. Not because of the question, but the calculate were confusing and tricking. Even the NR was my strength, I still need to cross fingers.

I must agree with you, guys

I must agree with you, guys that the NR was far more difficult than expected. I had not spent long time on them as it did' t counted on the overall mark, and I was caught with the pants down, lol. I used to be good on it (put 9/10 on the average) but in the real exam I panicked and ended up spoilingat least 3 or 4 ( could be more) .Otherwise, I found the AR , my personal nightmare, easier then expected. I am not sure if I will be able even to pass the minimum marks in both AR and NR test, and by no means I'll get the passing mark. This was my first time in AD. It has been a useful lesson for the future. I'll keep trying. Good luck to everyone.
