New sample reasoning skills tests - Update on 24 May 2024 - Too easy

Hi everyone,

EPSO published the follwoing statement on their webiste:

Update on 24 May 2024: new sample reasoning skills tests (verbal, numerical and abstract reasoning skills selection tests) are already available on our website in English, French and German for AD (Administrators) competitions and in English and French for AST (Assistants) competitions. 

When trying the samples they made available I found them to be much, much easier than the one on the book and on the website. In all fairness they look a lot alike the previous type of tests (I have also a book from 2018). What are we to expect on the day of the test then? (Mine is on the 14th of June).

Not that preparing with more difficult material is wrong, in fact it will probably help boosting some confidence, but it would be nice to know if we can expect the actual tests to be easier in general.

Thank you for the feedback, Francesco. If it turns out that EPSO made their Reasoning tests generally easier, we will tweak our difficulty settings accordingly. But even now, we have three difficulty levels: AST, CAST and AD. If you wish to practice at an easier level, simply select an AST or a CAST profile.

Hi David: I suggest making the numericals as cumbersome and difficult to pass as they are now with a floating calculator and an impossible-to-use scratchpad. That way when we arrive to the real EPSO tests, they will seem easier to pass. Make us suffer now so that when we arrive to the real thing it's piece of cake. Thanks!

An online scratchpad is available, another thing is if it is functional. This "bug" will be solved in upcoming exams.

Heeeelll no thees cognitive tests are hard as h3ll in exam mode. Barerly I  get 50% right in abstract. Lol 9nly I 12/20 From verbal no warming up and in exam mode. Practice history says I barely can pull these reasoning  tests...God help me in test time

Don´t lose hope. In Lawyer Linguist competition notice says it´s a Combined result (20/40) for the total test.  :-)
