Hello ! Luckly for me I opened the EPSO  website today and I have noticed that they released new exams for AST position. BUT....I saw there new tests ....,,basic IT Literacy " . Is there someone who can help me with some advices regarding these new tests  ? Thank you !

We update our Secretary packages according to the Notice of Competition and will offer Basic IT Literacy questions in about two weeks.

Thank you, you must be very busy I guess...Just one final question : if I purchase today a secretary package, will I get access to the new feature in two weeks including the Basic IT Lietracy or do  have to wait until you update the package to make the purchase? (I'd like to start practising asap the other parts as you suggest to prepares 9-12 weeks before the test....)

Hi,

Our current secretary packages are not up-to-date, as they contain question types that are no longer part of the competition (e.g. accuracy, language comprehension) and you definitely won't need these. If you wish to start practising now, please purchase AR, NR, VR and Organising&Prioritising questions from our AD / AST packages.

Yes, sure. I advise you to use the 'Profile selection' function of the Start test menu and select the relevant competition.

Unfortunately the tests I bought from your site for Basic IT Literacy are not the same as on EPSO example test.

What do you propose are Microsoft Office skills tests (for the Assessment center)that you sell as Basic IT Literacy.

I would like to know whether there is any possibility to have soon the correct test for the CBT.

Hello Anca ! Partially you are right .I think that the Epso test will consist from various questions related with our IT skills. Therefore I guess that EUTraining is only trying to prepare us with questions more complicated to boost our IT skills .

Tha tests you uploaded on the package for training are part of the Assessment Center 5microsofot office° and not of the CBT.

I have been trying to explain that to one of your colleagues sending annexes of everithing.

Could you please clarify, then?

According to the description available on the EPSO website, Basic IT Literacy questions test the candidate's "ability to use office-based IT tools according to the set of pre-defined rules".

In our interpretation office-based IT tools include not only Microsoft Word and word processing skills, but also other tools, for instance other softwares, hardwares, peripherals, etc. That's why our questions cover a broader topic. We also think that our questions are more difficult than the EPSO sample, and those candidates who can answer our complex questions will be able to complete the actual EPSO exercises as well.

You are right David! Indeed the exercises composed by your team are superior as level difficulty than those presented in by Epso as stample exercises. I hope that for those as me who have not so much IT backround experience to be an useful help in passing the tests.

I'm afraid we can't provide you with the Basic IT Literacy questions free of charge, as not only the content but also the price of our SC packages has been updated since last year and the costs of the IT questions are included in the new price. Buying the exercises as a custom product is a good option.

I have just purchased quite a number of basic IT literacy questions.

Your interpretation of rightfully providing a more difficult set of questions than epso for our benefit is based on the wrong perspective - as the questions that we actually need to take for the Sec epso test 2018 are completely different (in its form, way of approach...). 

Never mind, but do consider comments of 'antat' and 'manduffy' more seriously (the link manduffy provided is what IT Q will look like, and is more like the former 'acuraccy' test, and thus should be 'trained' much differently than regular multiple chose questions provided by EU training).

Thank you. I also agree that these tests don't represent the Espo given example.  And in my opinion many of your proposed  questions are more for the IT competition not really for the Ast/Sc.  Moreover, I bougth apart 90 IT literacy questions to train but I found that many of these questions are repeating- simply it is not correct from your side to sell the same questions in one package. Our goal is to train as much as posible with different sort of questions.

I also agree that your Basic IT literacy questions do not match the ones we will be facing at the CBT. Will you release a new update any time soon on this subject introducing new questions more in line with the Epso test for AST-SC positions?
