I really don't understand them . I have 2 degrees ( one in Public administration) and I am not a proper candidate for a " doorman " position ? I am so disappointed!

I understand your frustration, but this is EPSO. It is important to read the call for expression of interest and focus on the eligiblity criteria. If you dont have dipmoma/experience EPSO wants;you are out. Sad but treu, personal experience! Doesnt matter if we have Masters or Phd, once they ask for Education corresponding to receptionist, secretary duties... we are OUT haha

I'm starting wondering about the assessment phase, if this ever happens. Which are the "field-specific competencies required"? There will be a "specific competency-based interview" as written in the Notice of Competition, but i can't find them explained or listed anywhere. This interview worth up to 100 points! It's my first EU competition, have I lost something?
The general competencies are listed really well.

Dans mon cas, ils m'ont recalée en SC1 car ils ont considéré que je n'avais pas suffisamment d'expérience professionnelle directement en rapport avec le poste (alors que je travaille dans l'accueil d'un public issu de diverses nationalités depuis 10 ans !)

Par contre, par manque d'expérience professionnelle, ils m'ont déplacée de SC2 à SC1, mais je suis tout de même bien contente ! J'ai passé le 2 mai les épreuves du Centre d'Evaluation et je viens donner quelques infos à ceux qui ne sont pas encore passés.

Je faisais donc partie d'un groupe de 6 candidats (mais cela n'a pas d'importance puisque toutes les épreuves sont individuelles) et nous avons passé un entretien le matin sur les compétences générales et l'après-midi, nous avons eu droit au fameux jeu de rôle et l'entretien sur ls compétences spécifiques. Le tout en français uniquement,

Je dirais que les entretiens sont vraiment très difficiles car il faut trouver et donner un tas d'exemples liées à vos expériences professionnelles. Il vaut mieux ne pas mentir car ils peuvent revenir un peu plus tard sur un exemple que vous avez donné et vous poser davantage de questions dessus. Les examinateurs sont très polis mais froids. On ne sait pas du tout si les réponses que l'on donne sont correctes, il n'y a aucun signe d'approbation ou d'encouragement...

Quant au jeu de rôle, on vous donne un petit scénario avec plein de données à étudier pendant 5 minutes. Puis un examinateur joue le rôle d'un personnage avec lequel vous devez dialoguer et deux autres examinateurs vous observent et prennent des notes.

Hello, I don't think it is fair to ask that question, since most of us who already sat the AC did not have a clue what to expect...! As C said, you are given a scenario, with lots (too much really...) of info, and 5 minutes to prepare. The problem is that they don't tell you what the person you will encounter will want. You find out the moment the conversation begins. Each of us had a different scenario... So, there is really not much to say.

Indeed, there is not much more to say! Just try to act in a professional and natural way. The role play is quite an unusual exercise, but I found the interviews much more difficult...

My tests lasted from 10.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m., but other groups finished around 5.00.
