Hello everyone! I will be at the AC on Monday, is anyone else joining on Monday too?
I would like to ask people who have already passed the AC to tell me if I need to bring only the documents they asked for on the invitation letter or I can bring extra documents like recommendation letters, certificates, etc....will they accept it? Chrysanthi, Greece

Hi Alicia,

Thank you for the shout-out, I just wanted to check roughly what the topics were for the drafting test: was it EU-related or completely random?

Hope yours went well Alicia!

Many thanks.

Hi, I had my AC in September. Drafting skills test had 3 topics to choose from and they were all related to EU. I chose - "How does the EU contribute to World peace?" or something similar. Other two I don't really remember but they seemed more challenging for me personally. We had to write 20 full lines of text in 40 or 50 mins. I just made it. My advice is to try and leave yourself some time to revise the text at least twice to correct all typos and other mistakes as the quality of your language will be assessed and not your knowledge of the topic. So you can write something rather weak content wise but let it be strong grammatically and otherwise.

As for the question in the topic - I brought recommendation letters from my previous employers just for the purpose of proving my work experience. EPSO will not be taking any certifications not related to proving required qualifications into account, they even returned extra photos to those who provided more than one as they only need one. So just make sure to bring everything required in your invitation and you'll be ok.

Dear Julius,

Thanks for the info regarding the drafting skills.

I just wanted to check about the test F : "Test to assess the skills in preparation and/or processing MS Word and Excel document".
This part was a multiple choice test or like it was the case in 2011/2012 a text that we have to type and then follow instructions with track changes, insert Excel table, etc? Appreciate your input on that one.

Best wishes from Honduras !

Funny that Alicia's post with a response has been removed?!

Office skills test was by far the easiest of them all. It was exactly like in EPSO example: http://europa.eu/epso/apply/sample_test/pdf/office_skills_test_en.pdf. Basically it was more like precision and accuracy test as I needed to make sure to follow the provided rules and choose the correct answer. And it was only about MS Word, so if you are familiar with basics of this software - you'll be fine. My advice is to concentrate on preparation for the interview as it is awarded with most points and is the most difficult given you have to actually have a coversation with a real person instead of computer. Make sure to remember different situations from your professional life that could be applied in various scenarios because that's what it's gonna be like - they'll ask you if you have ever been in a situation where something happened (you had a miscommunication with a colleague, a fight with your boss, missed a deadline, had to learn new skill etc.) and how did you react to it / what was the outcome? I have prepared heavily for the interview and I think I pretty much did good so I am really hopeful.
