Hello everybody,

this year I just wanted to give a try once more, so I finally applied to a couple of EPSO competition. With regard to audit, I found that specific requirements had changed with respect to EPSO audit 2015 competition. With regard to qualification & work experience, the 2018 official journal states:

"A level of education corresponding to at least3 years’completed university studies relevant to the duties and attested by a diploma (must be awarded by 31 July 2018 at the latest)
or
Professional training/a professional qualification of an equivalent level to the studies mentioned above, relevant to the duties and attested by a diploma (must be awarded by 31 July 2018 at the latest)

No professional experience required"

So, if i'm right, professional experience will no be considered relevant to the application. I mean, if I have work experience in the field of audit but any diploma regarding professional training or professional qualification, I won't be eligible. That would be a drammatic change. Does anyone agree with me?

I have read the Notice of Competion again and I agree with you, it seems they want a Diploma coming either from Educatioin or Professional Training/Qualification! It's very weird though, why would they not consider relevant Professional experience equivalent to a Diploma? I have a master's level degree in Business Administration and now I am wondering if I am eligible too as my work experience won't count :-/

I think work experience is

I think work experience is worthing nothing anymore but I'm wondering why is noone discussing this big change in comparison the previous Audit competition.

I might have misunderstood

I might have misunderstood the Notice of competition, but I believe a university degree of three or more years is sufficient. Master of Business Administration should count as a suitable qualification. Or do I see it wrong? I have a Bachelor degree (4 years) in International Economic Relations and I am also not sure if I qualify for the position. My professional experience is in the field of Project management and Public procurement (not Audit relevant from my point of view). I have decided to give it a try anyway and hope for the best. Good luck to all participants.

I believe a university degree

I believe a university degree of three or more years is not sufficient. It says a university degree of three or more years relevant to the relevant to the duties. So, if you graduated in biology you wouldn't be eligible. This is a dramatic change as compared to the past AUDIT competitions. In the previous years, if you graduated in biology but you had an equivalent work experience in the filed of AUDIT, you could be eligible (depending on the commission). Now, even if you have an equivalent work experience, you need to provide a Professional training/a professional qualification relevant to the duties, but ATTESTED BY A DIPLOMA.
