Have you applied for the largest EPSO competition of the year?
It's super easy to apply and the deadline to complete PART 1 of the application is fast approaching.
The deadline to apply and participate in the 2019 EPSO Graduate Administrators (AD5) competition (EPSO/AD/373/19) is 25 June 2019, at 12 midday (CET).
This competition will recruit new members of the civil service to take up roles as Administrators in the various EU Institutions.
This AD5 competition is also the ideal opportunity for graduates to enter into an EU career path.

Did you know...

2019 EPSO Specialists in Law and Finance Competition Released
EPSO last week released the 2019 EPSO Specialists in Law and Finance (AD7) competition (EPSO/AD/374/19).
The European Commission is currently looking for specialists in the following fields: Competition law, Financial law, Economic and Monetary Union Law, Financial rules applicable to the EU budget, and Protection of euro coins against counterfeiting. If any of these fields are your area of expertise, then this is your chance to make a difference within the European Union.
Candidates will have till 9 July to complete the application form and Talent Screener.

In July 2019 it is expected that EPSO will be looking for Parliamentary Ushers to join the European Parliament and Court of Justice team.
Positions will be based in Brussels (Belgium), Luxembourg (Luxembourg), and Strasbourg (France).
Parliamentary Ushers will be recruited at AST-SC1 and AST-SC2 grade levels.

European Commission Internal Competition
The Oral Test phase of some profiles is already underway with the majority of the Oral Tests taking place in September-October.

Ongoing Competitions
Administrators in the field of Audit (AD5 & AD7): Wile the application deadline for this competition was only yesterday (on 12 June), the computer-based testing round will kick off almost immediately on 26 June and conclude by 16 July. The booking period for the pre-selection exams will already open NEXT WEEK on 19 June. This means it is essential that you get as much Verbal Reasoning, Numerical Reasoning and Abstract Reasoning practice in as quickly as possible.

Specialists in Legal Research - Lawyers (AD5 & AD7): The Court of Justice is recruiting specialists in Cypriot, Greek, Hungarian, Italian, Latvian and Polish law to be based in Luxemburg. The eligibility checks have concluded with the results communicated to all applicants. Now the Talent Screener assessment can commence. Those that score high in the Talent Screener will be invited to take part in the Written test in the field. At this stage, there is no news about a timeline for this.

Scientific Research Administrators (AD7): The European Commission’s Joint Research Centre is recruiting specialists in Quantitative & Qualitative Policy Impact Assessment/Evaluation, Data Science Applications, Modelling for Policy Development of Space, Telecommunication and Remote Sensing Applications, Scientific Knowledge Management & Communication, and Nuclear Research and Decommissioning. The eligibility checks have concluded with the results communicated to all applicants and the Talent Screener assessment is currently underway. Those that score high in the Talent Screener will be invited to take part in the Assessment Centre. At this stage, there is no news about a timeline for this.

EPSO Security Officers and Assistants (AST3 & AD7): This competition has reached the Talent Screener review phase. Candidates can expect to receive the Talent Screener results for the following profiles during these months: AST1: August; AST2, AST3, AD2, AD3: July; AD1. September. Those that score the highest in the Talent Screener will be invited to take part in the Assessment Centre.

Heads of Administration in EU Delegations (AST4): The Assessment Centre round of this competition kicked off on 3 June and will conclude this week on 15 June. We wish all 129 participants invited to the Assessment Centre the very best of luck.

Administrators in the field of Customs (AD7): The Assessment Centre phase of this competition concluded on 11 April. No results have been announced yet.

Administrators in the field of Taxation (AD7): The Assessment Centre round of this competition kicked off on 15 May and will conclude next week on 17 June. We wish all 136 participants invited to the Assessment Centre the very best of luck.

Administrators (AD6) & Assistants (AST3) in the field of Archivistics/Records Management: The Case Study exams for both profiles will take place in June. Administrators will sit their Case study exam on 26 June, while Assistants will take theirs a day later on 27 June. The Assessment Centre is already underway for Administrator candidates, concluding on 3 July. No specific dates for the Assistant profile have been released yet for their Assessment Centre except for a general beginning June till mid-July. Time to join an Assessment Centre simulation or Master Class session!

Armed Security and Protection Officers (AST-SC): Candidates are waiting to participate in the Intermediate stage of the competition, which will consist of a physical test and a shooting test. Specific on what each test will entail can be found here. This round of testing is expected to conclude at the end of July. Those candidates that score high in the Intermediate testing round will be invited to the Assessment Centre.

EPSO CAST Opportunities
Applications for the CAST competitions are constantly open with no deadline for registration.
Contract staff positions are available for a wide range of jobs, requiring different levels of qualifications. Register in the CAST database to be considered for such opportunities.
You can apply to as many CAST profiles and/or function groups as you like, there are no limitations with this and will not affect your ability to participate in any other EPSO competition either.
