EPSO Competitions Snapshot

EU Training

Are you currently undertaking an EPSO competition or awaiting the release of the EPSO Administrators Generalist AD5 competition?

Here is a short overview of what competitions are coming up next at EPSO and how current competitions are progressing.

2019 AD5 Generalists

This hotly awaited annual competition recruits new members of the civil service to take up roles as Administrators in the various EU Institutions. The Administrators Generalist competition is also the ideal opportunity for graduates to enter into an EU career path.

There is a lot of buzz at the moment, with many speculating about when the 2019 EPSO Administrators Generalist (AD5) competition will be released. The EPSO website still only states a very broad reference of "Spring 2019".

Over the previous years, the notice of competition for this super popular competition was released sometime in March. However, March has come and gone and still no official announcement has been made by EPSO of when the competition will be released.

While not officially confirmed, our reliable sources say the second half of May 2019.
[UPDATE 15/4: EPSO today announced the official competition release date - 23 May 2019.]

For those candidates that unfortunately weren't successful in the 2018 AD5 round or weren't eligible yet to participate in last year's competition, your chance is almost here - a new selection round will be starting very soon :)

Administrators in the field of Audit

A 2019 round of the AD5 Auditors competition is set to kick off on 7 May, with the application deadline marked for 12 June.

Supporting decision-makers in fulfilling the mission of their institution or body, this is another great opportunity for graduates to begin their careers at a European institution.

The Auditors of the EU institutions are in charge of financial, performance and internal audits. They also provide assurance and advisory services in all operational fields of the EU and therefore can operate in various countries or international organisations.

The nature of the duties requires a wide range of knowledge in fields such as law, accountancy, public administration, finance and economics, project management in the EU’s various areas of competence, IT, audit and assessment techniques.
