The EPSO Candidate Journey

EU Training

Are you affected by this phenomenon? Would you know if you were?

The Dunning-Kruger Effect* is a bias in thinking where people believe that they are smarter and more capable than they really are. Simply put, the less someone knows, the more they overestimate their abilities.

Kruger and Dunning’s studies consistently show amateurs are more confident in their skills than experts in their given fields.

They surmised that people with a lack of knowledge or expertise:

  1. Are prone to overestimate their knowledge and skills
  2. Are not able to recognise those that do have the skills and expertise
  3. Lack the ability to recognise their own shortcomings

However, if effort is put into improving skills by practicing and participating in training, these people become better at estimating their own skills, and start recognising their strengths and weaknesses. EU Training is here to help EPSO candidates do just that! Through the guidance of our experts, increase your knowledge of the EPSO exams...along with the ability to evaluate where you stand in the preparation process. Here's how:

  • Participate in any upcoming EPSO training sessions. whether it's to improve your reasoning skills test-taking methodology or to prepare for an interview.
  • A great way to round out the training sessions, is to then get more focused attention with a personal coach. EU Training offers several types:
    • EPSO Computer-Based Tests Coaching
    • EPSO Assessment Centre Coaching
    • EU Management Level Coaching
    • EU Recruitment & Interviews Coaching
  • Start practicing for the MCQs as soon as you even think about submitting an application
