I had the exam for Fin Ast FGIII in May 2017 with a score of 20/25. Please note that contrary to what I expected there were no questions related to the Financial Regulation / Rules of Application (FR/RAP) or anything related to budgeting or the multi financing framework of the EU. However out of the 25 questions 4-5 were accountancy related (general ledger entries for example, profit margins, balance sheet questions etc.). The majority of the questions I had were related to economics (general economics as well as macro) with no relevance to the financial rules of the Commission and one or two general ones for security of data.
Hope this helps you prepare a bit. In my opinion if someone had an economics background he/she could easily have passed the exam (13/25 for FGIII at least).
