CAST FGIV Selection procedure

Dear all,

I have a question about the recruiting procedure for temporary agents, I hope someone can help me to understand a bit better!

I recently applied for a specific FGIV position and after a couple of weeks I received a message on my epso account informing me that I was being invited to sit the test.

I passed the test but haven't heard from anyone about next step of the procedure yet. so my question is: the invitation was linked to the application I made, or could it be from a different DG? Do you think I should email the recruiters/HoU of the position I applied for to inform them I passed the exam?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi Cecilia,

I would say there may be three possibilities.

1) You were invited by another recruiting service to sit the test and they (still) have not come back to you after passing the test.

2) You were invited by the unit to which you applied, but despite passing the CAST FGIV CBT, they eventually did not shortlist you for the interview round. This is only an assumption, but I could imagine that recruiting services can invite several people to take a CAST CBT and see only later on how many they will really invite to the interview.

3) As possibility 2, but the unit still has not organised the interviews and they may still come back to you.

I think it does not do harm, if you send them a short email informing them that you passed the exam - as you do not know which recruiting service invited you to take the CAST FGIV CBT and it may have been another one. In the latter case, they may not know automatically that you you are now part of the CAST FGIV laureate database.

I see your message is already from 2 weeks ago. Hope in the meantime everything turned out fine for you!
