Does somebody have an idea what the case study is supposed to be about in this competition? As far as I could search for it, there is no information or material on it to find. It seems to be something new....
I've also applied for the linguistic assistant competition (MT) and am curious about this too.
My understanding was that the case study for this competition would be similar to the case study for AD roles (hopefully with a few less documents to go through!).
Also wondering how the text editing task will be carried out. I'm not sure whether we would just be correcting typos/grammar or if we will be re-writing the whole piece of text. I asked EPSO a few weeks ago and they said they wll put a sample of this online closer to assessment day.
I have a feeling that this may be the first linguistic assistant competition so far so we may be EPSO's guinea pigs this year :)
Bet wishes,
Mark

Dear Inberli and Mark,
You might find these two Tips and Tricks articles useful regarding the Case Study, which will happen at the Assessment Centre stage of the competition (not the Pre-Selection)
Also - news just in. It has just been announced that the MCQ tests will not be published before September.
At least we can now stop compulsively checking our EPSO accounts twice-an-hour, and can enjoy the rest of the summer. Maybe tempt fate a little and ensure our language 1 editing skills and general competencies are up to par too.
I can't wait to find out if I met the 75% language tests thresholds and I hope everyone who has been preparing with EU Training has done well too.
I was wondering if there is any further clarity on what the editing test and the case study for linguistic assistants include? I will be facing both, most likely, in September, and just like in 2016, there is still no sample editing test on the EPSO site....
I am doing the linguistic assistant concour this year. I am also wondering about the editing test. Could someone who did it in 2016 maybe give some tips what this is about?
2) You're not the first guinea pigs. There will be no sample test just like there wasn't one in 2016. The sample test is a lie. Just like the cake (bonus point if you get it).
3) The case study - in comparison to the available AD sample case studies - is a lighter, less advanced version of the ones found in other competitions. It requires far less decision making and is not as high impact. In 2016 the topic - as far as I can remember - was managing an inter-institutional exchange programme and prioritising the tasks that would enable its evaluation. I'm blanking on the details though.
Your best bet is to chill for the summer, there won't be any news till late September I guess.
Feel free to post a question if anything's unclear.

Hi all,
Hi all,
I was wondering if there is any further clarity on what the editing test and the case study for linguistic assistants include? I will be facing both, most likely, in September, and just like in 2016, there is still no sample editing test on the EPSO site....
So ANYTHING would be truly appreciated!!!
Thanks much,
