hi all, please can you advise on the best sources to study for the CAST project management and policy exams - not just practice the questions on EU training (of which I cant answer any at the moment despite years of experience in Proj mgt!!), does anybody know where and how to actually study for the information they ask in the questions!... phase 1 very basic for me! ha!

I am looking for a package on Project Management at EU Training but it doesn't seem to be available. Could you advice me how to get a package on this field? Thank you.

Anybody have information on the two comments above? (a) where to find material to study for the Proj Mgt and Policy exams and (b) does EU training have such a package - going beyond the usual verbal, abstract, numerical and multiple choice questions...?

It would be helpful to know if EU trainning has got the questions from real exams. It seems they are randomly selected from EU docs and web sites and that most of the time are not related to PM. I also find the possible anwers not really elaborated, meaning only numbers as options.

I am also preparing for CAST GFIV Project Management and I have some concerns about the competence part of the test. 

Information provided in the public notice (invitation expression of interest) as well as in the FAQs section of EPSO website suggest that questions will be limited to  'knowledge of project/programme management (planning, monitoring, evaluation, etc.) which also cover relevant financial aspects, communication and quality assurance".

In this 'EU Traning' practice package  - Project Management, there are several quesitons about governance of EU institutions as well as directives and regulations specific to some sectors or programmes that are pretty far from the ToR of the positions I have applied for.

Any suggestion from someone that have already passed the test? It doesn't seem there is a way to contact a course administrator either.

did any of you already sit the CAST project management exam and could tell me how close the EU training questions are to the real ones?

I agree with the comments above. The questions EU training provides are way too specific, about certain directives where you need to know the numbers for instance. That is the same for the Communications CAST questions, where they want to know details from Eurobarometer surveys. I can't imaginge that questions like which country has the highest Wifi coverage are really being asked. That's irrelevant for the profile

I agree also with all the above comments. I bought all the questions for hte compentency test with EU Training and they seem very specific (directives, regulations etc.). How can one possible study for this? I It is discouraging as the reasoning part is quitecomprehendible but it will not make a difference if I pass this when the competency test seems a bit impossible. Will the CAST questions really be this specific and not directly covering the issue of PM?

are there any new about adequate material to prepare for the EPSO CAST in project management? I will sit only for FG III and studied (public) management and did work in project management, but the questions I bought have nothing to do with project management. I learned already situational judgement, prioritising and organising and the accurrcy tests for AST, but need currently to prepare for project managment. Any new in this onw year later?
