Hello,

Can anybody who has been to the competency test of the finance CAST FG III could tell me what it is like?

Are the questions similar to the ones on EUTRAINING Online?

Are there questions related to the Financial regulation of the EU?

Hi Diana,

I did the exams a couple of days ago and unfortunatelly the EUTRAINING Online questions have nothing to do with the test. I really feel it was a waste of money. concetrate on economic related knowledge and basic accountancy.

so do you suggest concetrate on general ledger basic transactions? and what do you mean economic related knowledge? macro-micro? (eurotraining questions have been mostly finance accounting related...).

Also, was the numerical part more difficult than eurotraining?

Hi Giovanni,

it's quite tuff the competency. Not really related to EU funds.

I would suggest to revise: micro/macro economics and basic principles of accountancy!

I didn't have anything concerning EU budget/funds.

Hi all,

I will be invited to sit the MCQ tests for the CAST/P/5/2017 and as I am completely new at EPSO competitions, I am rather stressed.

Maybe this is a stupid question, but is the competency test also a part of the MCQ? Meaning it is organised the same day as the reasoning tests?

Also, how do you prepare for the reasoning and competency tests? For the reasoning ones, is it a good idea to run through tests proposed by EU Training? Any other ideas? And for the competency one?
