Was anyone else surprised by the first question of today's numerical test?
Like, if the data says that Spain produced 3104 tons of wheat, and the tex says it increased by 18% and that's ten times that of produced in Portugal, how exactly is the result supposed to be anywhere near 5100?

The 18% increase was over three years, so 3104 x 1.18 x 1.18 x 1.18, which equals approx. 5,100 tonnes

There was a question where we had to do this kind of calculation. I don't remember if it was this one or another. What I rememeber is that the calculation I did for this was among the answers (if my calculation is right or wrong is another issue)

well...I took that part in Spanish and the translation was crap...there was no oatmeal in the data, in Spanish, they put rice (arroz), corn (maiz) and wheat (trigo)but they asked the question with oatmeal (avena)...so no data related to oatmeal could be found in the table...

I took the exam in Spanish as well and I's sorry to say that there was not traslation confussion. You had to calculate the oatmeal data from the table and the question information. I don´t remeber right now the whole sentence but it was clear to me that the tricky part was just loosing some seconds to understand that. For example, if you have the rice numbes and it is said that the oatmeal is 1/3 of that... well, the you have it!

you're right, I''ve got a big problem with the numerical part, I panic and even if I know how to do 60% of the exercices, the day of the exam, I'm blocked and completely unable to understand any of them...it's a nightmare for me because I'm pretty godd at the rest, but I have a psychological problem with this particular part.

¡Ay!, te etiendo perfectamente. Las matemáticas tampoco son mi fuerte, especialmente el cálculo mental que ha sido mi pesadilla desde el colegio. Mi consejo para eso: haz todos los test que caigan en tus manos. Al final esto también se aprende con la práctica y si tienes pensado presentarte a nuevos exámenes te recomiendo que desde ya te pongas a hacer cada día al menos un problema. ¡Seguro que logras mejorar!
Afortunadamente, es esta prueba los test verbal, numérico y abstracto van juntos y "solo" tienes que aprobar. Así que, si hiciste bien el resto, seguro que remontas.
¿Qué te pareció el lingüístico? A mí me resultó más sencillo que el que hicimos en marzo, aunque igual también es que estaba más preparada para lo que iba a ser. Tuve un momento de pánico con el de con que y conque, y eso que en realidad es sencillo, pero si te bloqueas, te bloqueas. La presión forma parte del propio examen.

¡gracias! vengo haciendo miiiiles de ejercicios desde hace 1 año, he tenido profe, lo peor es que entiendo la mayoría y sin la presión del tiempo los saco bien pero...es psicológico lo mío. El resto muy bien la verdad, tuve English L3 y me pareció más fácil que en marzo. También me pareció más fácil el lingüístico, aunque he de confesar que en mi vida he estudiado castellano (sintaxis digo) y lo saco porque llevo 30 años en Madrid y soy muy lectora. Mi idioma materno es el francés, soy belga. El tiempo que dan es absurdamente pequeño pero es más que nada practicar...hasta que ya te hartas claro
Mi L3 fue el italiano, y
Mi L3 fue el italiano, y también me pareció más sencillo, sobre todo más sencillo que los de prueba que hice aquí en la plataforma. Es muy parecido a los test que se hacen de compresión de texto para el C1, así que me pareció sencillo. Además, el de italiano fue sobre un tema de escuela pública, es decir, que también el vocabulario era abarcable.
Pero bueno, esto son todo especulaciones, porque no sería la primera vez que se piensa que se ha hecho bien un examen y luego te llevas un chasco. Veremos los resultados, espero que en breve.
