Hello everyone,
if you took the CAST CBT on September 11, how was your experience?
I found the verbal reasoning a bit more challenging than my preparatory material, the numerical reasoning just as challenging, and the abstract reasoning a little bit easier than expected.
I was stressed about technical issues, but that was quite smooth. I just was unable to use any scratchpad and the calculator was somewhat adding to the time I used up for responding. But I guess there is no other way around that.
Good luck to all
I also posted a brief summary
I also posted a brief summary of my experience here in this forum. My impression was, however, that verbal part wasn't that hard, numerical was easier than normally and the abstract one wasn't easy. I couldn't use the scratchpad either and I started later due tu some seriou troubles that didn't pop up at earlier stages.
Hi.
Hi.
People who have already performed the tests can help me with this question. Is is possible to cross out the wrong options in every reasoning test as we do in EU Training practice?
Thank you.
Isabel
Can you specify your question
Can you specify your question? I am not sure I've understood.
Hi Paul.
Hi Paul.
In EU Training practice you can cross out the options that you consider are incorrect. For example, in verbal reasong tests while you read you can cross out the options that are more or less obviously incorrect keeping 1 or 2 potential solutions.
I have been practising this way but some people have confirmed me that TestWe does not provide this option. In my opinion it was very useful for verbal and abstract reasonings.
Maybe you were not practising this way.
Regards.
Isabel
Yes, indeed, I did not
Yes, indeed, I did not practice in this way (haha I even didn't know that such an option existed at all).
Hi All, congrats for your
Hi All, congrats for your efforts!
I have one question about the timer: I read that if you complete quick one question, this time won´t be available for next questions, however my doubt is, if I want to skip a question, can I do it ? and return at the end? or won´t have time to do it?
Thanks in advance I will have my tests next week :( :)
best luck for all!
Thanks in advance and good luck!
If I am not wrong, the topic
If I am not wrong, the topic of the timer refers to each part (test), not to every individual question in the test. You have 20 minutes for numerical reasoning test, if you complete it in 18 minutes the 2 remaining minutes won't be added to the abstract reasoning test.
You can skip questions and flag them to go back when you have completed the easier/clearer ones. I asume you can also go back to any question without flagging it.
I am not sure that we will have time to manage so many aspects.
Hi Isabel
Hi Isabel

Good luck to everyone.

Ad7 exp. Numerical I couldn't
Ad7 exp. Numerical I couldn't use a scratchpad at all. McQ questions was very hard. Rest was easy. Also I found a bug in written test that redlined misspells that was rather funny and pleasing. Tho I won't tell you how I did it
Oh and eurtraining's McQ
Oh and eurtraining's McQ practice test far off and useless.
Hi all,
Hi all,
Did you send the complaints after the test of Sep 11th? I did and I wonder now that if I, by any chance, pass the test I understand that I won't be automatically invited to sit a new test (in case they find my complaint justified)? That would be a shame to eventually pass it an be "forced" to retake it.
Has anyone received their
Has anyone received their results? It is 15 days today since the test....
Results are now out! Thank
Results are now out! Thank you EUTraining, I did pass the test on the first attempt.
I performed in line with my first message: verbal tougher than expected, numerical easier but still tricky for me (3 out of 10!!) and I was really not able to use the calculator and pad much, abstract way easier than expected!
Thank you!!
I am very happy for you, Sara
I am very happy for you, Sara! I did pass the test on the first attempt too.
Do you know approximately how long it will take for us to be called for an interview (or further tests)? Do we just have to wait or do we have to do something else? I've received much contradictory information and I'm a bit confused.
Thank you very much and good luck!!
Congratulations, Sara! I did
Congratulations, Sara! I did pass the exam on the first attempt thanks to EUTraining.
Do you know if there is a certain time frame for us to be called for an interview? Do we just have to wait until we are invited for an interview (or further tests)?
Thank you very much and good luck with the next steps!
