Not this one, as it is not an EPSO competition (and there was no testing period). They have already announced that the results willl be communicated in September.
Hi Alessandra, I suggest watching the informative webinar in the Facebook page European Parliament Translation and Language Professionals: everything is there. Good luck!
I received an email on 16th Sept. confiming that the Board started the evaluation of MCQ test and other information and supporting documents submitted by candidates with their applications, but from now on, no more news.
Does anyone know if they finished this phase or not?
Hi, my friend and I both took the written tests and we both got a really low result too (if that is what you meant).
I don't believe there was an issue. It is just really difficult to do well in these tests. The standards are very high. I am wondering what we could have done to do better though.
It has not been extremely difficult, not for a competent translator who is though familiar with the EP terminology/register/typology of tests. I have already been working for the specific institution and to my complete and utter shock and dissapointment they gave a) an excellent mark in test a) and b) a non-passing mark in test b) thus excluding me for the competition.
Many competent translators/professionals who already work for the institutions or have a significant experience and skills have received a non-passing mark in this competition and remain wondering.
I have already initiated the legal procedures stipulated that cannot be that so many candidates have had such a wrong impression about their performance.
I would advise you to carefully read the notice of competition and the rules governing the procedures and if you feel discriminated/misevaluated and you really think you did better to take all the steps necessary.
Hello Joana, according to the application instructions you can ask for more information about the results (but you have to contact them within a month). I hope this helps!
