Hello everyone!
I am new to the EPSO world and I would like to prepare myself for the next AD5 generalist preselection exam. As this exams differs from the spanish ones I would like to ask you all if you have some good tips on how to prepare the best possible this exams in order to pass it. Like hours per day, things we have to take in consideration before start or during the preparation, mistakes to avoid, how long the process takes.. Any thoughts will be welcome :)
Many thanks and good luck to all of you!!
Hi,
Hi,
All the information you need you will find on this website (especially check the tips and tricks section). Here you also have a spanish website (I find it quite funny:)) around this topic as well:
https://yasemoseuropeos.com/2019/06/06/rellenando-la-convocatoria-de-gen...
There is also a group on facebook:
https://www.facebook.com/groups/538413146350681/?multi_permalinks=120543...
I have been preparing around 6 months for the exam, every day making one online test on eutraining. I bought the bundle of 600 questions each and divided it into 60 tests which I made twice - first time in the practise mode (where you can analize the mistakes and learn the patterns) and the second time in the exam mode (to learn how to manage better the given time). I was one of the lucky ones that have passed to the E-Tray phase so I can asure you that it's worth it ;) Wish you all the best, you still have a lot of time and the tip can be only one: practice makes perfect! :) Good luck!
Marta

Hi Marta,
Hi Marta,
Thank you very much for your answer!!! I am very grateful for that :)
Yes, I knew YSE but I did not know that group of facebook as I was in another one. Thank you very much for your tips and for bring some light to these path as I found it sometimes quite tricky to follow.
I will do that way as I was doing something similar but I wanted to be sure that I was doing it correctly and I was in the good path at least in order to have a real chance to pass. So I will do this way.
Congratulations for pass it and the best of luck in the E-tray exercise!!! :)
Many thanks,
Cristina
Hello Cristina,
Hello Cristina,
How are you doing with the training? I would like to know if joining the facebook group is worth it?
I would like to have kind of a training buddy/team, to motivate among ourselves, and I was wondering whether the facebook group helps in this way!
Thank you so much,
B.

So then is posssible to do like this: CBT tests in English (first phase) and the E-tray & the AC in Spanish for the Administrator Generalist (AD5)? What do you think about? Thanks
Hello everyone,
Hello everyone,
I too have read in forum discussions that there will be no Generalist competition this year OR that there will be no Generalist competition at all in the future, because it is easier for EPSO to organise specialist competitions (according to this theory, less people apply for specialist competitions). However, I haven't found any official source confirming this information, so I would suggest not losing hope just yet!
You can find information on the upcoming competitions here: https://epso.europa.eu/job-opportunities/upcoming_en
According to this official EPSO website, no Generalist competition is envisaged for this year, so far.
I hope this helps.
Good luck to everyone!
A reliable source has told me
A reliable source has told me that they expect to publish generalist AD5 "or similar AD5" in the second half of 2021! This source has never failed me.
