Hi, 

I made it through one recent AD6 competition. My question is, how big are the chances to be recruited at all? I am from a research institute, and never worked in the EC or anything related, just standard academic research. I know no one in the EC personally, and no one would know me. Could it still happen that I am taken to a permanent position right away? Do they ever recruit complete outsiders? Are there known success stories?
