A Massive Upgrade To Your EU Training Practice Centre Is Coming

Get set for a fresh new look and upgrade to your EU Training Practice Centre!

The roll out of the new Practice Centre will be happening in stages this week, so don't be alarmed if it hasn't shown up in your account yet...you'll see it appear very soon.

We have streamlined the functionality of our practice platform to make it super simple to use and intuitive, so you have instant access to everything you need to get EPSO ready as soon as you log into your EU Training account.

The new dashboard structure gives you convenient access to everything you need at the tips of your fingers.

Logging into your EU Training account

One of the first difference you'll experience is that after logging into your account, you'll be greeted by this new look practice platform every time you log in.

The "Practice Centre" menu option in the top menu bar has disappeared because it has now become your new 'homepage' once you've logged into your EU Training account, giving you super quick access to everything you need to get EPSO exam ready.

If you navigate away from this page, simply click on the EU Training logo to get back to your Practice Centre.

 

Starting a new practice test

Select a few options and your next practice test will be ready in no time. 

STEP 1: select a profile

From the "Select Competition" drop-down list you can either:

Pick "Compose Custom Test"
Select this if you only want to practice one test type. 
For example, you only want to practice Verbal Reasoning or Abstract Reasoning or Numerical Reasoning etc. - select this option from the dropdown menu.

Pick the competition type you are undertaking
Select this if you would like a full EPSO exam simulation to be automatically generated for you based on the competition you are undertaking. 
In this case, select one of the competition options (Administrator, Assistant, Secretary, Linguist, Specialist Competition, CAST) from the dropdown menu.  

If you choose "Compose Custom Test" you can fully customise what EPSO test type you want to practice and the question quantities you want to complete in your next practice test. After selecting this option click the green "Next" button and you'll be on your way to composing your next practice test. 

If you want a full test automatically generated for you based on the EPSO competition and phase you are undertaking, select a competition type from the "Select Competition" drop-down list and then the "Competition Phase" or "Competition Profile" from the second drop-down list. Click the green "Next" button and your practice test will be automatically generated for you, featuring the right test types and question quantities for the specific EPSO competition you are undertaking. How effortless is that?!

STEP 2: compose your test

If you selected "Compose Custom Test" in the previous step, all the question types available in your account will appear. All you need to do is manually add the number of questions you want to do per test type by clicking on the "+" and "-" buttons. Don't forget to also choose the language you want to complete each test in! Click the green "Next" button and you are one final step away from starting your next practice test.

If you opted to have your next practice test automatically generated in the previous step, only those test types and quantities will appear that correspond with the EPSO competition that you are undertaking.

For example, if you are completing an EPSO Administrator Generalist competition and selected "Administrator" for competition type and "AD - Pre-selection" for the phase in STEP 1, a test will automatically generate that includes 10 verbal reasoning questions, 10 numerical reasoning questions, 20 abstract reasoning questions and 1 full situational judgment test. The question quantities and the order in which each test type will appear in your practice test will correspond to the actual EPSO exam you will undertake. 

If you are happy to proceed with the automatic selection simply select the language you want to complete each test in and click the green "Next" button. 

If you would like to make some changes, the great news is everything is customisable.

For example, you can increase the number of Abstract Reasoning questions or decrease the number of Verbal Reasoning questions selected simply by clicking on the "+" and "-" buttons.

Want to add an additional question type to your practice test? Click on the "+ Add new test type" orange hyperlink. A pop-up box will appear that lists all the available practice test types that EU Training offers. Add as many new test types and question quantities as you want via the "+" and "-" buttons and click on the green "Yes" button if you would like your additional selection to be added to your next practice test. Then select the language you want to complete each test in and click the green "Next" button. 

If you do not have enough questions available in your account to compile the perfect practice test, you can conveniently add more question to your account by clicking on the green "+ Buy More Questions" button. 

STEP 3: select a testing mode

The last step in the start test process is to pick the type of conditions you would like to practice under.

Practice Mode is ideal for developing weak points and in the early stages of preparation.

  • Offers unlimited time to answer each question at your own pace.
  • Detailed explanations are accessible throughout the test.

Exam Mode is ideal for simulating real test conditions and in the later stages of preparation.

  • Strict time limits are set to ensure realistic exam simulation.
  • Explanations available but only after submitting the test.

Once you click on the orange "Start test in practice mode" or "Start test in exam mode" button - hey presto! - your new practice test will start.

 

Review your practice activity

Review your latest practice test or continue an incomplete test via this quick reference block. 

If you want to see your full practice history click on the green "VIEW FULL PRACTICE HISTORY" button to see all of your past practice tests and review your results for each. 

If you are new to EU Training and haven't started a practice test yet, then this block won't appear until you do...so what are you waiting for? Start a practice test now smiley

 

Check your progress

The "Statistics" block gives you an insight into how you are performing compared to other candidates, as well as your overall progress over time. 

  • Click on the "My scores" button to see your average score per test type compared to the average score of all other EU Training platform users. 
  • Hover over the bars in the bar graph to access more details.
  • Click on the coloured question key blocks to activate or deactivate a particular test type.

  • Click on the "My progress" button to see your progress per test type over a period of time. You can choose to view your "Full history", "Last two months" or "Last two weeks" by clicking on the radio buttons. 
  • Hover over the lines in the line graph to access more details.
  • Click on the coloured question key blocks to activate or deactivate a particular test type.

 

Available practice questions in your account

The information is all there instantly in front of your eyes as soon as you log into your EU Training account, so you can easily check if you are running low on questions you want to practice with.

To bump up your question quota simply click on the green "Buy More Questions" button.

The My Questions block only shows a select number of test types initially, but you can easily expand this section to see your full list of available practice questions by clicking on the "View all my questions" orange hyperlink. To minimise this block click on the "Minimise questions block" orange hyperlink.

If you are a new customer or do not have any question quota left, you will only see test types and question quantities appear in this block once you have bought some practice questions. In the meantime the following text will appear in the My Questions block:

 

Your live webinars and available recordings

Have you registered to participate in a live webinar session? You will see the date and time of the session and can even link directly to the live session from the My Webinars block. 

You can also conveniently access your collection of webinar recordings that you can watch any time you want.

If you have a nice collection of webinar recordings you can review your full list by clicking on the "View all my webinars" orange hyperlink to expand the block. To minimise this block click on the "Minimise webinars block" orange hyperlink.

If you are a new customer or do not have any webinars yet, you will only see a collection appear once you have added some webinar recordings to your account or registered to participate in a live session. In the meantime, the following text will appear in the My Webinars block:

You can add new live webinars and recordings to your collection any time by clicking on the green "Access Webinar Library" button.

 

Monitor coaching and classroom bookings

Have you booked a personal coaching session with one of our EPSO experts? Submitted your EPSO application, CV or Talent Screener to be evaluated via application assistance? Or registered to attend a classroom training session? You can monitor these events and evaluations via the My Coaching & Classroom Sessions block.

Coaching Sessions: Once you have sent a request for personal coaching or application assistance, you can follow the developments via this block in your Practice Centre. Click on the "Access Coaching Session" button to review the correspondence between you and your coach or "Access Application" button to read the evaluation. Past coaching sessions and application assistance reviews will continue to be listed here, so you can easily refer back to them. 

Classroom Training Sessions: When you register for a classroom training session you can look up session details here like date, time and location address. Past classroom sessions will continue to be listed here, so you can look back at past events you have attended.

If you've utilised our coaching and classroom training services, your upcoming sessions will appear first, but you can review your full list of past bookings by clicking on the " View all my coaching / classroom sessions" orange hyperlink. To minimise this block click on the " Minimise coaching / classroom sessions block" orange hyperlink.

If you are a new customer or do not have any coaching or classroom bookings yet, you will only see a list of upcoming events once you have requested a personal coaching session or registered to attend a classroom training session. In the meantime, the following text will appear in the My Coaching & Classroom Sessions block:  

You can request a coaching session or register to take part in a classroom training session at any time by clicking on either the green "Book Coaching Session" or "Join Training Session" button.

 

Get the latest news and insights on EPSO
