Does the medical examination include testing for substance consumption such as cannabis for a desksite job? I understand they only do this for risk posts. I smoke weed ocasionally, and I am extremely nervous that there might be a change they disqualify me if they discover it in my urine. Could you please share your knowledge? I would really appreciate it.

From my recollection, checking with a colleague as well as this website: https://euemployment.eu/european-commission-medical-examination/?expand_..., there is a urine sample test as part of the medical check at EU institutions. I do not know, if this test includes substance consumption. From what I recall from my exam results, I really do not think that illegal substance comnsumption was listed and thus tested. Not sure this helps, but even if they were to test it - I doubt you could be held accountable for this. You could for example "just" have consumed cannabis at a stay in the Netherlands or in another country where cannabis consumption may be legal.
