Monthly EPSO Exams Forward Planning for August - Upcoming and Ongoing EPSO competitions

Last month EPSO announced new dates for upcoming competitions in 2023 and two new competitions were opened for applications. EPSO may be closing its doors temporarily for their summer break, but that by no means is an excuse to lose your EPSO prep momentum. One of the cardinal rules of preparing for exams is to be consistent and persistent. Upcoming EPSO Competitions

The next Notice of Competition will only be released after the summer break, in September, and that will be the LAWYER LINGUISTS AD7 EPSO Exams selecting candidates for the Court of Justice (Languages: EN, ES, LT, NL, PT, SK). Applications will open on 14 September, and as always EU Training will host a free info webcast on 18 September 2023. We will be posting an article about it and sharing it on our Facebook page, so keep an eye out for that.

EPSO quickly released two Notice of competitions one after the other at the end of July. These are currently still open for applications - so you still have time!

EUIPO/AD/01/23 - Administrators in the field of intellectual property AD6

  • Apply on this link.
  • Applications due: 29 AUGUST 2023 at 12:00 noon / Brussels time
  • Supporting documents due: 2 October 2023 at 12:00 noon / Brussels time
  • Computer-Based Tests (CBT) Dates: September 2023 (indicative)
  • Reserve list: 200 places

EPSO/AD/403/23 - Two profiles, grade AD7

  • Applications due: 5 SEPTEMBER 2023 at 12:00 noon / Brussels time
  • Supporting documents due: 12 October 2023 at 12:00 noon / Brussels time
  • Computer-Based Tests (CBT) Dates: October 2023 (indicative)

EPSO ECONOMISTS AD6

There was a technical issue with EPSO's website and the original application due date was extended by one day to 26 July. Lucky for those who left it last minute! The EPSO/AD/402/23 competition covers 3 profiles, and here are the number of applications submitted for each profile as published by EPSO:

These training sessions cover the reasoning tests methodology and are a great way to begin your preparation. After you've done a few practice tests, try a training session, and then try a few more practice tests afterwards and apply the methodology learned.

EPSO AST3 - OPERATIONAL / TECHNICAL SECURITY AND OPERATIONAL HEALTH & SAFETY

EPSO/AST/155/22 - The Case Study exam happened early on in July, as did the SCBI. It seems only the Field-Related Interviews are left and these will probably start up again in September at some point.

The CBT scores are finally out! Congratulations to those that passed their computer-based test - over 720 candidates total. The Assessment Centre interviews will pick back up after summer holidays, so there's a bit of a break, but best to keep sharp and keep up with your preparation plan, see the training session available for registration below.

EXPERTS & ADMINISTRATORS IN THE FIELDS OF SPACE AND DEFENCE INDUSTRY (EPSO/AD/400/22)

CBTs and Written test are long done and the results have been finally published for these EPSO candidates. All combined, over 230 candidates passed to the Assessment Centre phase of the competition. The AC will consist of a Field-Related Interview, an SCBI and an Oral Presentation. SCBI workshops and Oral Presentation Simulations will be organised once their assignments are released by EPSO.
