I want to know if I could apply both to an Administrator and Assistant position in the same field? Could that be of any disadvantage to me? I see that I should apply to only one field but nothing is said about different levels. Thanks! Can I participate in both competitions? Can we apply for both? Yes you can, only 1 field per competition I do not understand why AST and AD8 have the exact same requirements in terms of years of experience I have applied for a prior competition for one field in the two options - AD and AST This competition requires X years of study in "ICT or related areas". What are "related areas"? For this post "Design, development/configuration, testing, operation and maintenance of IT applications and off-the-shelf solutions; Data management, data analytics and artificial intelligence" It means that you need to have experience in both fields it-applications and also about data management and artificial ingelligence? Or are two different profiles inside the same competition? Because there is an ";" in the description, and I beleive there are two very different profiles What supporting documents would I need to provide in order to proof my experience? Could you provide some examples. These posts are also valid for JRC? What if we have the experience in all the subfields but not for one of them for one profile. e.g: Imagine for 1st profile I have exp in ICT infra, Cloud but not networks. Am I still eligible ? My question for the AD is that after your university study, you have to have 6 years of experience. I wonder when those 6 years counts, when you apply or before you get on the reserve list? Because I finished my diploma in 2018 but I have more then 10 years experience Up to the day when you submit your application usually they count from after your degree to the day to submit you application So, in total we have around 300 ADs and 200 ASTs. Will they all be hired, or just be placed on the reserve list(s)? BTW, how many reserve lists there are? One for each institution? I have experience since 2013 with a secondary degree. I took my Bachelors degree in 2017 and my masters in 2020. Am I eligible for AD7 positions? Is Electrical Engineering an related area? When do I need to prove my job history? If selected or at the time I would apply? Can you apply if you are waiting to get the nationality in short term? EU nationality All my career is in ICT (since 2005) but my degree is Electrical Engineering You should meet the requirements by the call deadline Having a Cambridge C2 from around 2013, is it still valid or does it need to be "fresh"? Can we apply for AST & AD at the same time? DO, yes What supporting documents would I need to provide in order to proof my experience? Supporting documents to provide are described in detail in the notice What happens with old 5 year degrees that were assimilated as bachelor + master, do you know if they are easily accepted or do we need to harass our university officials for equivalence documents? For project management a master in Business administration + 13 years of experience in IT is eligible? YOU need to fulfill the criteria at the day of the application deadline It's Electrical Engineering but 15 years of experience in ICT (that's all my carrer). I hope that they take that in mind. I have 3 year + master (1 year). That makes 4 year, doesn’t it? Is Mechanical engineering can be consider as related area? Is it better to describe more years of experience (i.e 15 years) or to better describe the 6 years required? Do you think that economics university degree and masters in IT area, covers the eligibility? What are the salaries (approx)? Minumum salary for AST4 is 3568 4277 with 16% expatriation allowance How long do you stay on the reserve list? I checked the talent screener questions of the ADs and the ASTs and they are almost the same. What do they expect more from the ADs? I worked as an IT Support Assistant under a ICT Contractor for two years directly at the European Commission Embassy does it count as my selection opportunity? In field 4 of the AD competition there are 2 areas with specific duties mentioned for each area. Does this mean that I can only "apply" for one these two areas? Or do I have to have experience in both areas, and to cover everything? What happens if I am involved in more tasks than those described in my job description? How can I prove them? Do we know if we are elegible before we actually start studying for the exam? If my degree is from a non EU country, am I still elegible? I noticed that we need to send full records of past employment. My first employer no longer exists. How would I get papers from them? Moreover: one of my positions was a volunteer position in which I received housing and expense allowances but not a formal "salary". Would this be considered "remunerated" by EPSO terms? At which point of the selection procedure are the eligiblity checks done? I heard that epso is chaning approach on the selection process. That affect to this competition? If I passed the MCQ tests for FGIII 3 years ago do I have to take them again for the AST position? YES. The application can be filled in in any language? Are (good) evaluation reports from an employer relevant for an application? Disadvantage for Spaniards which have 100% fully health coverage in Spain. Health benefits don't cover 100% fully. You usually need to contract an additional insurance. Talent screener is a competition between us or we should pass a mark only ? Between us as the number of invitations is limited Do I need to write it so that it seems anonymus? Or I can write that I worked in a specific project where it could be easy to understand who I am? In the talent screener for field 4, the direction is more towards project management or more technical? Questions ask about percentages. how this can be added in a clear manner? Sometimes you are working in different areas, doing different tasks and in different time-frames...it could be messy...Any suggestion? What will be the first test? reasoning (numerical, abstract etc) OR the specialization in which we apply? How does this talent screener service work? Is it by email? You can find more information about the TS review service here: https://eutraining.eu/products/administrator/personal-coaching#application-assistance-with-undefined In general they are not looking to hire technicians here, certain degree of management more like it How long do you think the review of talent screener would take? 2-3 months or more? Will you offer packages with questions specific to prepare this competition ? If not, what package would you take to prepare the reasoning test ? Here's the package dedicated to the ICT competition: https://eutraining.eu/products/specialist-competition#spc-ict-ic My second language is French. But for technical vocabulary I manage better in English. Which one would be better to choose? I have passed the CBT for AD7 and AD8 temporary agent. Are the tests for permament competition harder? Permanent CAST laureates were told that CBT test would be kept valid for 10 years. Is this the case for these competitions? NO. Would you suggest to start preparing for case study and SCBI only after passing the talent screener? Will you also have field related questions package for our preparation? The field related component will be an interview. In preparation for the Field Related Interview (FRI) component of the AC we will organise training sessions closer to exam time. Have you got an idea of the timing for the different steps of the ICT competition? Non-EU Dregree are valid? If we have a degree from a top 10 university, do we get more points than if we have a degree from a lower-ranked university (meaning not even in the top 100)? The ICT AST notice of competation states that these are the test phases: Reasoning tests, Situational competency-based interview, Case study, Field-related interview. There is no CBT testing mentioned here. Does it means this is not done for this specific position? CBT (Computer-Based Tests) = reasoning tests What is the range time between submitting the application, the talent screener and to actually do the exam? How close are your training questions to the ones of the actual CBT? If I am applying for Project Manager, do I still need to have the Diploma in ICT? I have a valid PMP certificate and ongoing ICT studies. If I work in testing for the past 3 years and I have a previous 12 years work experience in management ...do I qualify for AST competition? Also 4 years of College with diploma Is UK diploma issued when UK was part of EU is recognised as EU for the compettition considering the owner is EU citizen "For each entry the candidates will have to indicate the percentage of time devoted to one or more ‘task(s)’ from a given list that largely corresponds to the selection criteria listed in section A above." - how to calculate the time per task in a better way? please advice Thank you for your presentation and answers Andras thank you for the time and energy András :) have a great weekend! Great webinar, Andras! Thank you very much! :)
