2018 EPSO Competitions Forward Planning Update

The new year brings a whole new set of EU career opportunities. Let’s take a look at the current developments in the EPSO competitions calendar.

Assessment Centre Starts NEXT WEEK! – Administrators Generalists (AD5)

Best of luck to all candidates that have made it to the Assessment Centre round of the 2017 EPSO Graduate Administrators competition (EPSO/AD/338/17).

The EPSO Assessment Centres will run from 15 January - 22 February, 2018. While the Case Study component will be sat by all candidates on 26 January, 2018.

To help candidates prepare for this vital stage of the competition, EU Training is running a whole bunch of feedback sessions, where we simulate EPSO Assessment Centre test conditions and offer the opportunity to meet face-to-face with our highly experienced instructor.

Focused heavily on the practical side of the EPSO exams rather than the theory, these sessions are designed to help calm nerves and build candidates’ confidence, while offering valuable feedback and the opportunity to engage with other candidates going through the same process.

Take part in a full day EPSO Assessment Centre simulation or focus on one key area through our Competency Based Interview or Group Exercise Master Classes.

PART 2 Registrations OPEN - Secretaries/Clerks Competition!

It’s OPEN!!! You can start working on PART 2 of your 2017 EPSO Secretaries/Clerks (EPSO/AST-SC/06/17 - SC 1 & SC 2) competition registration. You will have just under 3 weeks to complete this. Applications close 31 January, 2018 at 12:00 noon (Brussels time).

What you need to know…

Language 1 – can be any of the 24 official EU language.
Language 2 – the 5 most popular languages declared by EPSO participants in the Secretaries/Clerks competition were *drum roll* - English, French, Italian, Spanish and Greek! YES GREEK!!! For the first time EVER, German cannot be chosen as a Language 2 for the Assessment Centre stage of an EPSO competition.
Please note that the language you choose out of these five as your Language 2, MUST be different from your chosen Language 1.
PART 2 of the registration process MUST be completed in your chosen Language 2.

Deadline For Applications Extended - Lawyer-Linguists Maltese and Lithuanian

Good news for those participating in the 2017 EPSO Lawyer-Linguists (Court of Justice) Maltese and Lithuanian competition, the deadline for applications has been extended till 30 January, 2018 - 12:00 noon (Brussels time).

Translation Test Booking Period - Translators (DE, FR, IT, NL)

Good luck to all candidates preparing for the 2017 EPSO Translators (DE, FR, IT, NL) competition. The Translation Test booking period is now open and will close on 16 January, 2018 at 12:00 noon (Brussels time). The Translation Tests will take place from 31 January – 2 February 2018.

Awaiting CBT Booking Period - Financial Economics & Macroeconomics

The application deadline for the 2017 EPSO Financial Economics & Macroeconomics competition closed on 19 December, 2017.

EPSO/AD/339/17 - 1 received 906 applications, while 602 applications were received for EPSO/AD/339/17 - 2.

No news has been released yet of when the CBT booking period will open.
